As soon as you open the can, the rich aroma of tea leaves bursts out. Similar to the product version, you can enjoy the pleasant tea-like fragrance.

When you take a sip, the refreshing sweetness spreads along with the fragrance of the tea leaves. The clean sweetness and the refreshing taste that doesn’t linger are still impressively well-balanced (●´ω｀●). Even though I just drank the sample, I honestly couldn’t notice any differences in flavor or fragrance.

So, let’s compare them.

There’s no difference in color when you line them up. The fragrance is the same as well. The sample can might have a slightly stronger fragrance, but I don't think there's an actual difference.

After tasting both, there’s definitely no noticeable difference in flavor. Actually, they are the same. The flavor of the tea leaves, the bitterness, and the sweetness are identical—there was no difference.

I thought, “Maybe the bitterness is stronger in the product version?” So, I focused on the bitterness of the sample and tasted it again, then thought, “Is the sweetness weaker?” and compared them again... but in the end, I don’t think there’s any real difference.

In terms of ingredients, the composition is the same.

Even though the numbers for the ingredients are identical, there are still some cases where the contents—such as color, taste, and fragrance—differ. For us energy drink enthusiasts, part of the fun is actually comparing the flavors to confirm the differences.

Compared to the Rehab series, all Dragon Tea varieties are more subdued.

Energy Ingredients of MONSTER ENERGY DRAGON TEA GREEN TEA SAMPLE

It seems the caffeine content in the sample can is different from the product version. The sample can has 150mg, while the product version has 155mg, so there's a 5mg difference.

The volume is the same as the product version at 458ml. Since the tea leaf extract settles at the bottom, make sure to shake it well before drinking.

The can is in silver aluminum with "Sales Sample" written prominently.

The flavor name is written at the top along with the series name.

On the back, there's no Monster Energy poem, just the logo. Of course, the iconic dragon is not depicted either.

At the top, instead of the list of energy ingredients like in the product version, it says "Sales Sample."

The people handling this product are likely those who usually work with Monster Energy, and just like the product version, it says "shake well" due to the sediment, which I found interesting.

The silver top with a black tab. Simple and fitting for a sample product. Although the tab could have been silver without a logo, it’s nice that they used a logoed one, which appeals to energy drink enthusiasts.

The Dragon Tea series Green Tea is particularly flavorful and is personally one of my top recommendations for non-carbonated tea energy drinks. I hope this series continues for a long time, but considering how mild the sweetness is, I do wonder about the repeat rate in the US.
