Later, the design was renewed, and even after 3 years since its release, it continued to be sold in the United States and Canada in 2019. When I first reviewed it in 2016, I thought it would be gone quickly, but it turned out to be an unexpectedly long-selling product.

Upon opening, a distinctive scent of classic flavors bursts out.

With this scent and color, I was expecting something... but after drinking it, there's a tangy flavor with a mild sweetness, similar to the classic Red Bull taste, mixed with a medicinal-like bitterness, creating a typical chemical flavor. It's not a unique flavor to Gronk, but rather a common one. Considering that Monster Energy already has its original flavor, it feels surprising that they introduced this classic flavor here.

The tangy sweetness of the classic flavor is matched by a strong chemical flavor, and while it’s different from the original Monster Energy, it still offers a distinct taste within the series. So, without a doubt, Gronk has its own flavor in the Monster series.

However, there are already many similar flavors in the U.S., and it was quite surprising that this flavor was introduced with the superstar Gronk. Energy drink fans usually expect something new, so many might be disappointed by this.

That being said, the balance of the classic sweet and sour taste with the distinct medicinal-like flavor is quite well done.

Energy Ingredients of MONSTER ENERGY GRONK

It contains 144mg of caffeine, taurine, ginseng, carnitine, glucuronolactone, guarana, inositol, and maltodextrin.

Iron Powder from Gronk

When I first reviewed it in 2016, I didn’t notice anything unusual while drinking it, but later, after several trips to the U.S., I found brown sediment that looked like iron powder in some cans of Gronk, which was quite surprising.

And in 2021, I encountered “iron powder Gronk” again! This time, it was hardened into crunchy bits. Now, I look forward to seeing if more iron powder comes out every time I open a can of Gronk.
