This is Monster Energy's Blue Ice from their Hydro series, which began in 2017 as a non-carbonated sports drink. The glass in the photo might look small, but it's the same Baccarat glass I always use; it just looks tiny because the bottle is so large Σ(´∀｀；)

The 750ml large-sized bottle is more than enough to hydrate during exercise, but for the purpose of reviewing, it might have been a bit too much to drink (^_^;)

The color is a slightly cloudy, bright light blue. When poured into a glass, the brightness increases. When in the bottle, it looks a bit more intense.

Now, let’s try this non-carbonated sports drink! It has a light sweetness, with no lingering fragrance, offering a clean and crisp taste. However, the aftertaste of artificial sweeteners leaves a bit of an odd sensation, especially noticeable as it warms up from cold to room temperature.

The sweetness is much more restrained compared to typical Japanese sports drinks, so if you’re thirsty during exercise, you could easily finish the entire 750ml bottle.

While I’m not a fan of the somewhat undefinable artificial sweetness, when served ice-cold, it has a "soaking in" sensation that makes it easy to drink without thinking about it. The balance of flavors might actually be ideal. I’m not praising it too much, but it’s easier to drink than plain water (；´∀｀)

This product is primarily designed for hydration, so it’s not meant to be savored. For hydration and energy replenishment, Hydro does a great job of fulfilling its purpose.

Since the product isn’t focused on taste, it’s a bit tricky to rate. But considering it as a sports drink, the product’s level is quite high. It’s low-calorie, low-sugar, and contains a moderate amount of caffeine, which makes it a perfect choice for athletes. The higher price may make it difficult for average consumers to buy regularly during daily exercise.

It contains 188mg of caffeine and taurine. There are no other herbal or additional energy ingredients, giving it a simple composition.
