When poured, the color is the same as the regular Monster Energy can. The scent is also sweet, completely different from the image of bottled nutritional drinks. The bottle might give people strong preconceived notions. By the way, as indicated on the label, it is carbonated, so if you drink it down quickly like a nutritional drink, you might go "Goff!" so be careful (；´∀｀).

The taste honestly doesn’t seem too different. The flavor is slightly more acidic, but the sweetness doesn’t change much. It’s not overly sweet like a concentrated flavor, and it tastes almost the same as regular Monster. It’s not exactly the same, but since Monster drinks tend to have a strong flavor, it’s pretty similar.

Since M3 comes in a bottle, it will likely feel less chilled compared to a can, which makes the sweetness and other flavors feel stronger. If you’re used to tasting energy drinks at room temperature, you’ll really notice this difference.ｗ

The cap is not one of those "open and close" types, but just a single direction twist-off. A 150ml bottle doesn’t need a “close” feature, right? (Normally, you only see the “open” notation.ｗ) Some might say it’s a message telling you to drink it all at once.

Ingredients of Monster Energy M3

The ingredients are almost the same as the regular version, but concentrated into 150ml, so it’s not much different from the 355ml can. Don’t worry, it’s not three times the content of a 355ml can (ｕ_ｕ*).

The calories are reduced to 1/3 at 66kcal, and the carbohydrate content is also reduced to 1/3 at 16g. The caffeine concentration is 140mg, and the arginine stays the same at 444mg. The essential energy ingredients are almost unchanged, so if you’re looking to consume energy ingredients, M3 might be a better choice due to its lower calorie and carb content compared to the can.

Since Monster is often associated with drinking large amounts at once, there might be mixed opinions about M3, but I’ll explain some ways to enjoy M3.

How to Use Monster Energy M3 (Japan)

From my personal perspective, M3 seems to be better suited for drinking several bottles rather than just one. (I think most people will use it this way.)

As mentioned earlier, some might question why Monster Energy, which comes in a large 335ml can in Japan, is offered in such a small quantity. But if you drink two bottles of M3, you get 300ml, which is quite satisfying (though this is a bit strange).

Easy Way to Consume Large Amounts of Energy Ingredients

So, if you drink two bottles of M3, you’ll consume 280mg of caffeine, which surpasses the 240mg in Rockstar, a popular American drink, and comes close to the 357mg found in Bang Energy Drinks, which has the highest caffeine content in the U.S.

If you drink three bottles of M3, that’s 420mg of caffeine, and the arginine will exceed 1300mg. Even with some caffeine tolerance, this amount will still hit hard. (Normal people should avoid drinking it all at once.)

Bang has different ingredients than M3 (designed for bodybuilders), but personally, I liked it, so with M3, drinking two to three bottles should give you a similar effect to Bang.

Easy to Keep Energy Levels Up by Drinking Multiple Bottles

Since M3 is only 150ml, most people can easily drink two bottles (or even three) without trouble. Even if you don’t chug it all at once, it’s easy to drink a couple of bottles spaced out over time. Also, because the calories and carbs are reduced to 1/3, it’s possible to drink two to three bottles without feeling overly full or gaining weight, unlike drinking two to three cans of 335ml.

By the way, if M3 was three times concentrated with the same low calories and carbs, it would probably be a lethal drink. It would be like a “hitman in disguise,” making it easier to drink large amounts, which could be even more dangerous than M3. But then again, the issue is really with people drinking excessive amounts. (-_-;)
