MONSTER ENERGY PAPILLON
Released on June 4, 2024, this is a review of Monster Energy Papillon with a peach and nectarine flavor, from the fruit juice-infused series.
In the United States, it was released in 2020 and has become a popular product sold worldwide, including in Europe. Among the fruit juice-infused series of Monster Energy, this is personally one of my favorite flavors, and I gave the American version of Papillon the highest rating.
Despite the high praise, as of May 2024, the product has disappeared from the official website (when I visited the U.S. in April, it was widely available in stores). While it may no longer be available in the U.S., it seems like it’s a lucky turn that it will be available for an indefinite time in Japan.

Flavor of Monster Energy Papillon
Upon opening, a sweet and tangy, juicy peach and plum aroma spreads. The scent and color are almost identical to the American version. Let’s give it a try.
When I take a sip, the sweet and tangy taste of fresh peach flesh expands, and the refreshing acidity reminds me of plum or apple.
Later, I notice a dense sweet aroma and a smooth texture, with a banana-like flavor coming through, making it a fruit mix flavor with a refreshing peach and nectarine blend and a banana undertone that adds a satisfying depth.
The soft sweetness and moderate acidity create a perfect balance of refreshment and a light drinking experience, and the aftertaste lingers just enough to leave a subtle, irresistible impression, making you want more. Before you know it, you’ll have finished the 355ml can.
I realized that the key isn’t just about making everything intense, but rather achieving a perfect balance of deliciousness and lingering taste that makes you want more. This is exactly how I felt when the American version of Papillon was first released, and the Japanese version has continued that perfect drinking experience, which is why I rate it highly.
The flavor is so delicious that you’ll immediately want to have another one after finishing the can. I highly recommend buying it in bulk.

Energy Ingredients of Monster Energy Papillon
It contains 142mg of caffeine, 184mg of arginine, 301mg of ginseng, and 9mg of carnitine.
The fruit juice content is less than 10%, with ingredients including apple, peach, European pear, pineapple, mango, and banana. If you taste banana-like flavors, that’s because it’s in there. While the amount of fruit juice may not have a major impact on the flavor, you can still enjoy the fruit essence, so take your time savoring the aftertaste.
Design of Monster Energy Papillon
The main color is a soft orange, with the Monster Energy logo in yellow, representing peach and nectarine, giving a juicy flavor impression.
As the name suggests, there is a colorful butterfly depicted on the side of the can. However, the name "Monster Energy Papillon" doesn’t necessarily hint at what the flavor might be, which could be a bit of a challenge.
That being said, the warm colors of the logo and the "10% fruit juice" label might suggest a juicy fruit flavor. For long-time Monster Energy fans, the yellow tab reminiscent of M-80 might give you the impression that it’s “definitely delicious” just by looking at it.
Comparing it with the design of the American version, it closely replicates the original.
Since the Japanese version is in a 355ml slim can, it’s often hard to see the full design that would be visible on the larger 473ml can. However, they’ve made a clever adjustment by reducing the size of some of the butterfly illustrations to better replicate the look and feel of the original.
Monster Energy Papillon is personally one of my favorite fruit juice-infused Monster Energy flavors, both domestically and internationally. Out of nearly 1,300 reviews, I awarded it the rare ★5 rating. It’s so delicious that I highly recommend buying it in bulk (I already pre-ordered a box!). So, expect a lot from it and enjoy every sip.

ウルトラピーチキーンのゼロ感を果汁に置き換えたぐらいにしか感じなかった
もちろんまずくはないが、初めてパイプラインパンチを飲んだ時のような衝撃はなかった。リリースの順番が違えば感度してたかも。

エナドリそこまで好かん（珈琲、紅茶派）なんだけど、普通にジュースっぽい感じになってる上手い。
「蝶の羽ばたきのような小さな事が、竜巻のような大きな出来事を引き起こすきっかけになる。これを「バタフライ・エフェクト」という。」って書いてある。ちょっとむせたのが結構ＨＰ削ったけど、ちゃんと気を付ければめっちゃ美味しいです。
