Now, let's compare the Japanese and American versions of Monster Energy Reserve Watermelon. On the left is the Japanese version, and on the right is the American version.

Looking at the color alone, both are the same, and there’s virtually no difference in transparency or cloudiness. The aroma is also nearly identical, to the point where it’s hard to tell which is which.

Upon tasting, both have a sweet and tart strawberry-like flavor, but the American version has a stronger acidity, while the Japanese version is sweeter and milder. The base flavor is the same, but the Japanese version has a more subdued acidity and a stronger sweetness.

Contains 142mg of caffeine, 188mg of arginine, 291mg of ginseng, and 102.95mg of carnitine. The sugar content is relatively low at about 25g, which matches the concept of the U.S. version.

A feature of the Reserve Series is the Monster Energy brand name displayed vertically on the right side of the can.
