MONSTER ENERGY ULTRA FIESTA SALES SAMPLE

Posted on September 15, 2021 | Last updated February 4, 2025

MONSTER ENERGY ULTRA FIESTA SALES SAMPLE

Released in 2020, I have a sample of MONSTER ENERGY ULTRA FIESTA from before it hit the market, so I’m going to do a comparison review with the final product. Looking at the nutritional information and other details, it appears that the contents of the sales sample were carried over into the final product. Let’s try it out!

In 2001, while living in the United States, I encountered energy drinks through the dance scene and was deeply impressed. After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 7,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries. I am also active as a critic and expert, receiving media interviews.

Sweet and Sour Citrus Tropical Fruit Flavor Definitive Edition

Upon opening, the refreshing scent of tropical fruit mix bursts out. This aroma makes you feel like it's hard to believe it's zero calories. The liquid has a cloudy appearance, adding to the realistic vibe of a tropical fruit mix.
MONSTER ENERGY ULTRA FIESTA SALES SAMPLE Taste

When you take a sip, you get a gentle mix of sweet orange, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, and papaya, with a nice balance of sourness, and a fresh, fruity aftertaste. This tropical flavor tastes like it has sugar, which is surprising for a zero-sugar drink.

What’s remarkable is that there’s no artificial sweetener taste. That alone is impressive, but the fact that this drink has the freshness of fruit despite being zero sugar and having no fruit juice is astounding.

MONSTER ENERGY ULTRA FIESTA SALES SAMPLE Taste

Monster Energy has already released several tropical fruit-flavored drinks, all with fruit juice for a rich, fresh taste. I initially thought that this zero-sugar, no-fruit-juice version would only be a lighter version of those, but it completely surprised me. I didn’t expect the flavor to be so close to those with fruit juice.

When it comes to energy drinks, I’m personally more concerned with the sugar content than the caffeine. If a zero-sugar drink can taste this good, it’s absolutely fantastic.

Comparing the Sample Version with the Final Product

This review is based on the pre-release sample version. From looking at the nutritional info, it seems the final product is the same, but let's compare the two for fun.

On the left is the sample version, and on the right is the final product.

There’s really no difference in taste. I knew that before I opened them, but I figured I might as well compare them since I already had them open (^_^;)

The aftertaste leaves a strong tropical fruit sweetness and sourness, which is still impressive no matter how many times you drink it. Some products change the taste between the sample and final version, but with ULTRA FIESTA, the flavor is already so perfect, there's no need to change it.

Contains 150mg of caffeine, taurine, ginseng, and carnitine. There was no difference in energy ingredients between the sample and the final product.

MONSTER ENERGY ULTRA FIESTA SALES SAMPLE Design

The design is the same for both the sample and the final product. It features the cheerful Mexican skull, a staple design. There’s really no way to tell the difference between the sample and final version, so it might be hard to distinguish.

The poem section on the back is missing, and instead, "SALES SAMPLE" is printed there.

Monster Energy had already released a mango-flavored product with fruit juice, and I wondered if there was even a reason to release a zero-calorie version. After all, compared to the fruit juice version, it would surely fall short. But that turned out to be wrong. Both full sugar and zero sugar can coexist, and they've managed to create an amazing, high-quality zero-zero flavor.

Since its release in the U.S., it's been launched worldwide and is in high demand.
