Upon opening, a sweet and tangy guava aroma, along with refreshing apple and papaya notes, wafts out. The liquid itself is a vivid, cloudy red. I see, there are several enjoyable elements that will be detailed in the design review, making this an exciting product. Now, let’s taste it.

When I take a sip, the sweet and tangy guava flavor, along with a refreshing tropical fruit mix, spreads across my palate. There’s no unpleasant taste from artificial sweeteners, and I was surprised by the refreshing fruitiness that doesn’t feel sugar-free.

Although it doesn’t replicate real fruit exactly, the artificial taste is kept to a minimum, allowing me to enjoy a flavor reminiscent of fresh guava juice.

The overall taste and aroma are highly refined, but what impressed me the most was the aftertaste and lingering finish.

The gentle sweetness and moderate acidity of the guava aftertaste are pleasant, and it disappears naturally without lingering in my mouth, leaving a refreshing finish. I could finish drinking it without ever noticing any unpleasant aftertaste from artificial sweeteners. This sugar-free guava flavor is undoubtedly one of the best in the Ultra series.

In 2024, several emerging sugar-free energy drink brands in the U.S. have been releasing flavors with exceptionally high quality, and I had begun to feel that there was no longer a compelling reason to stick to the Ultra series. However, MONSTER ENERGY ULTRA VICE GUAVA has such a high level of refinement that I can’t find any faults with it.
