The MONSTER ENERGY KHAOS, which previously didn’t have a series name, was rebranded as the "PUNCH MONSTER" series in Canada in 2016, and PUNCH MONSTER KHAOS was launched.

In Canada, similarly, Ripper was also rebranded as "PUNCH MONSTER Ripper" at the same time.

Flavor of PUNCH MONSTER KHAOS

The moment you open it, you can immediately smell the distinct orange scent of Khaos, which is exactly the same as the previous Canadian Khaos and the re-released Juice Monster Khaos that was released earlier in the U.S. By the way, the Punch Monster MIXXD sold in Europe is a completely different punch-flavored product from the juice energy MIXXD that was once sold in the U.S.

The taste is not, of course, a fruit punch flavor. Instead, it has the unique sweetness and flavor of Khaos, similar to other juice-based Monster products, with an orange-flavored taste that has a refreshing tangy accent. While the fruit juice content is not listed on the Canadian Khaos, it still delivers a rich fruit juice experience, comparable to that of the American version.

It is certain that this product is not based on a fruit punch flavor, like the previous Punch Monster series released in the U.S. The series name is the same as the U.S. version, which can be a bit confusing.

Juice Monster vs Punch Monster Taste Comparison

Now let's compare the new Khaos from North America: Juice Monster from the U.S. and Punch Monster from Canada.

The scent also doesn't show much difference. Even the taste is hard to distinguish—if you drink Juice and Khaos separately, they taste almost the same.

Upon carefully comparing both, the Canadian Punch has a stronger tangy sensation, whereas the U.S. Juice is less tangy and flavored mainly with the unique Khaos taste. The difference between the Canadian and American versions is primarily the strength of the tanginess. Without a side-by-side comparison, you likely wouldn't notice any difference in flavor or aroma.

It contains 156mg of caffeine, 2000mg of taurine, 400mg of ginseng, 20mg of guarana, and other ingredients.

Unlike the U.S. version, the fruit juice content is not listed, so the exact amount is unclear. However, it contains apple, orange, peach, tangerine, pineapple, and white grape.

The sugar content is similar to that of Juice Khaos, and the energy ingredients are almost identical. If we look at the list of fruit juices and other ingredients, the order is nearly the same, so it is likely that the fruit juice content is similar to that of the U.S. Juice Khaos, which contains about 30% fruit juice.

The Canadian version has the unique "Punch" label, and beneath the front of the can, there is the Punch glove mark. This is also an image common to the Punch Monster series released in the U.S., which feels a bit strange, as the contents are just juice.

Apart from that, the design is nearly identical to the original U.S. Khaos, so people who are not familiar with Monster Energy overseas may have difficulty telling the difference.

Whether you drink the U.S. or Canadian version, the taste is almost the same, and unless you compare them side by side, you wouldn’t notice any differences. So, no matter which country you get it from, you can enjoy the delicious Khaos experience.
