Mother Energy Drink is an original energy drink brand from Oceania launched by Coca-Cola in the latter half of 2006. Currently, due to the capital alliance between Monster Energy and Coca-Cola, Monster Energy handles its distribution. However, Mother Energy Drink was originally created by Coca-Cola.
After about a year from its release, Mother Energy Drink was revamped in 2008. Initially, it was a high-juice fruit-flavored 250ml drink, but the taste was not well received, and it could not compete against V Energy Drink and Red Bull (which had a 94% market share at the time). Later, Mother was reworked into a 500ml larger size and improved in flavor, leading to the creation of the current Mother Original. At that time, both V Energy Drink and Red Bull were only available in 250ml mini sizes, which marked the beginning of the larger size trend in Oceania.
