Mother PASSION, a tropical fruit flavor from the long-established Australian energy drink brand, Mother Energy Drink. It’s a new flavor released after the brand came under the Monster Energy umbrella.

When you open the can, a sweet tropical fruit aroma bursts out. Just as expected from the product name, it smells fresh and delicious.

Upon taking a sip, a gently sweet and sour tropical fruit mix fills the mouth. You can taste familiar fruits like orange, pineapple, mango, passion fruit, and papaya. The orange flavor stands out a bit more.

It’s not heavy or overly sweet, and the acidity gives a nice refreshing kick. The tropical fruit mix’s aroma lingers comfortably, allowing you to enjoy a perfect balance of fruit flavor.

The aftertaste leaves a pleasant, sweet and sour fruit pulp flavor, making you think, "This can’t be fruitless, right?" It contains 152mg of caffeine, 2000mg of taurine, and 10mg of inositol. These are standard amounts.

Mother PASSION contains 67.5g of carbohydrates per can. The high sugar content is a common trait for the Mother series, not just for this flavor. While caution is needed with sugar intake as well as caffeine, it's something to be mindful of when consuming.

Design of Mother PASSION

The flowing yellow design. Since the brand moved from Coca-Cola to Monster Energy, the design has been simplified into this flowing color pattern.

Some people still say the older designs were more unique and stylish. I tend to agree with that. With just this design, it might be hard to convey how delicious Mother PASSION truly is.

For Monster Energy, Mother is a sub-brand sold in the same country, and it used to be a competing brand, so it makes sense, but... If the design were refreshed into something cooler, I think it would gain more popularity. I hope they cherish this long-established brand.
