Mother RAINBOW SHERBET
Released in January 2024, Mother RAINBOW SHERBET.
Since around 2018, when fitness-related energy drinks started to rise in popularity, the United States has seen a surge in zero-sugar cotton candy and ice-candy flavored options. However, from Australia's Mother series comes the full-sugar Rainbow Sherbet, which contains a generous amount of sugar. The taste is completely different from zero-sugar versions, and if you're not worried about health concerns, you'd definitely want to choose the full-sugar Mother RAINBOW SHERBET for its deliciousness.

In 2001, while living in the United States, I encountered energy drinks through the dance scene and was deeply impressed. After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 7,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries. I am also active as a critic and expert, receiving media interviews.
Taste of Mother RAINBOW SHERBET
Upon opening, a soft and smooth sweetness with a hint of tartness from a cotton candy-like aroma fills the air. The liquid itself is a clear pink. Let's take a sip.
As you take a sip, a sweet and tart fruity candy flavor spreads.
It's hard to pinpoint a specific taste, but it's a mix of soft cotton candy sweetness with an emphasis on the tartness of orange and a variety of fruit candy flavors, creating an ice candy-like taste.
Recently, many cotton candy, sherbet, and ice-type flavors have been released in zero-sugar versions, but the full-sugar Mother RAINBOW SHERBET allows you to enjoy a pleasant sweet-tart flavor that lingers in the mouth.
Moreover, there’s no unnecessary aftertaste left behind. Even though it’s full-sugar, it’s so easy to drink that you can finish the 500ml without getting bored, enjoying the lingering sweetness that only sugar can provide. This unique smooth, lasting flavor is something you can only experience in full-sugar drinks.
The one I reviewed was from the early release, with a can design featuring warm pinks and oranges. Later, the colors changed. Here’s the updated design.
This is the can I bought during my trip to Australia in the fall of 2024. The design became more colorful with the addition of green and blue. The contents remain unchanged, so only the appearance has been updated.
Energy Components of Mother RAINBOW SHERBET
Contains 150mg of caffeine, 2000mg of taurine. It also contains a high sugar content of 70.5g, so it's important to watch your intake. The concentration of these ingredients is among the highest globally.

Design of Mother RAINBOW SHERBET
A colorful design with pink, orange, and yellow combined into the signature wave design of the Mother series. Since Coca-Cola took over and it became part of the Monster Energy umbrella, the design became simpler, making it harder to convey the flavor's image.
On the official website, there are some fantastical and pop-like image representations. I think the can design should reflect this vibe more clearly in stores.
In the summer of 2024, the color scheme suddenly changed. The left can shows the original warm colors, while the right shows the updated colorful design from after the summer.
I feel that a can with more mixed colors fits the "Rainbow Sherbet" name better than the initial warm tones. The redesign was definitely a good choice.
