MUSASHI ENERGY FRUIT CRUSH
The Australian supplement manufacturer MUSASHI, founded in 1987, released its energy drink series in July 2021 with three flavors launched simultaneously. This time, I will review the MUSASHI ENERGY Fruit Crush flavor.
With its authentic amino acid blend typical of fitness supplement manufacturers, the zero-sugar formula manages to maintain a high level of flavor reproduction. It was surprisingly high-quality, much better than I expected. Here’s my review.

In 2001, while living in the United States, I encountered energy drinks through the dance scene and was deeply impressed. After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 7,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries. I am also active as a critic and expert, receiving media interviews.
Flavor of MUSASHI ENERGY FRUIT CRUSH
Upon opening, a sweet peach-like aroma spreads. The color is clear, as expected from a fitness-related energy drink. Even though the scent is strong, the lack of color makes it harder to convey the right atmosphere.
When you take a sip, a refreshing blend of peach, orange, and mango flavors fills your mouth. This is delicious! It’s hard to believe this is from a supplement manufacturer known for artificial flavors in their energy drinks.
MUSASHI ENERGY FRUIT CRUSH is a sweet fruit mix flavor, but it’s not overly sugary. It’s refreshing, and I was amazed at how quickly I finished the 500ml.
The scent, especially, is exceptional. The peach aroma perfectly captures the fruit’s flesh, with no trace of unpleasant artificial sweeteners. They’ve managed to eliminate the bad aspects of artificial sweeteners while keeping a clean, fresh aftertaste.
Drinking it with ice offers a perfect refreshing experience, ideal for Japan’s humid summer mornings. The balance between the taste and aroma is so well done, it’s almost puzzling how delicious it is.
Energy Ingredients of MUSASHI ENERGY FRUIT CRUSH
Contains 160mg of caffeine, 1600mg of beta-alanine, 1000mg of BCAA, 300mg of acetyl-L-tyrosine, and 3000mg of citrulline.
It’s great to see the authentic amino acids that are typical of supplement manufacturers, with clear details on the amounts included. Many well-known fitness energy drink brands in North America do not specify the amounts, which makes it hard to assess how much is actually in the drink, so that’s not a reliable criteria for choosing a product.
Design of MUSASHI ENERGY FRUIT CRUSH
The silhouette of a samurai, reflecting the brand name "MUSASHI" taken from Miyamoto Musashi, is depicted. The samurai image is not used in the core supplement products, only in the energy drink series, giving it a bit of a “cringe-worthy” design feel.
The back of the can provides an extensive description of the product and the included ingredients. However, considering that the ingredient list is already covered in detail, it might have been better to simplify this part a bit.
