Monster Rehab Peach Tea and Ultra Citron launched in the United States

Monster Rehab Peach Tea and Ultra Citron Released in the U.S.
For 2015, Monster Energy’s new releases include Peach Tea from the Rehab series and Citron from the Ultra series.
The official website has finally added images and product information, making the launch official.

According to earlier press releases, these were slated for a February release, but it looks like they hit the shelves earlier than expected. A friend has already managed to get hold of them!

Monster Energy Rehab Peach Tea

As you can see, the Rehab series, known for its bold colors, now has a new addition—Peach Tea with a rather unique color.
From the image, it looks like the pull-tab color is nicely coordinated.

However, in a previously obtained image, the pull-tab appeared black, which felt a bit disappointing. Also, the top text reads "ENERGY ICED TEA" instead of just "ICED TEA," so the actual product may look slightly different from this official image when it hits the shelves.

A non-carbonated energy drink with a peach tea flavor is something quite unfamiliar in Japan.
Despite its intense appearance, it’s likely to be a smooth and easy-to-drink peach tea (*´ェ`*).

Monster Energy Ultra Citron

The Ultra series release is likely to generate quite a buzz.
It seems safe to assume this will have a refreshing citrus flavor.

If you take a close look at this image, you’ll notice a skull on the upper left side.
When I first saw the leaked images, I wasn’t sure if they’d keep it, but it looks like the official design includes it.
That extra touch of cringe-worthy detail is just too good!

Both Are Health-Conscious Energy Drinks

Both of these new Monster products are low-calorie, with Ultra Citron being completely sugar-free.
Given the recent health-conscious trends, this was probably an inevitable move.
Last year saw the release of Ultra Sunrise, so based on this pattern, we might be able to predict what’s coming next and which flavors might be discontinued.

In 2001, while living in the United States, I encountered energy drinks through the dance scene and was deeply impressed. After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 7,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries. I am also active as a critic and expert, receiving media interviews.
