July 21st, 2015: Monster Energy Ultra released!
Waited Three and a Half Months! Monster Energy Ultra Launches on July 21!
On April 4, a listing mistake on the official website was discovered, creating a buzz, but there was no official announcement.
Then, leaked images made it almost certain that Monster Energy Ultra would be released, and finally, the official announcement arrived.
Monster Energy is always slow in revealing information, but at last, the Ultra flavor will be available in Japan!

As of June 29: Monster Ultra Giveaway for 300 Winners!
The official website has announced the July 21 release date!
At the same time, a giveaway campaign has begun, where 300 winners will receive a whole case (24 cans) of Monster Ultra!
■ Campaign Period: June 29 – July 12
Simply fill out the required information on the campaign page and submit the form ((o(´∀`)o))

Winners will be notified when the prize is shipped, so someone from the community will surely tweet about their win! lol
Red Bull previously gave away two 185ml cans to 500 winners as pre-release samples, but Monster Energy Ultra is going all out with a full case for 300 winners—what an insane giveaway!
The announcement was delayed, but Monster Energy is definitely making an impact.
This campaign is seriously exciting!
As of June 27: Monster Energy Ultra Now Available for Pre-Order on Amazon
Before the official announcement, sampling had already begun at universities, and now pre-orders are available on Amazon.
As initially expected, Monster Energy Ultra is confirmed for release on July 21!
Amazon has already started accepting pre-orders, confirming the release date as scheduled.
When I first discovered the listing on the official website on April 4, I was shocked (since I check it multiple times a day, lol), and the energy drink community had a mini celebration.
Now, after three months, the release is finally official.
It’s surprising that there’s still no official announcement, but with the release date set, let’s just be happy about it! ((o(´∀`)o))

As of June 23: Monster Energy Ultra Sampling Has Already Started
On June 23, Monster Energy Ultra was being sampled at the Toyosu campus of Shibaura Institute of Technology.
Despite the lack of any official information, the distribution started surprisingly early.
Sampling has also taken place at Hosei University and the University of Electro-Communications—seems like they are making rounds at universities.

For those who were skeptical about the release, this should be enough proof! (●´ω`●)
As of May 30: Official Monster Energy Ultra Release Confirmed!?

A Twitter user shared an early promotional flyer for Monster Energy Ultra!
The release date is confirmed as July 21, and the official name is *Monster Energy Ultra*, not *Zero Ultra*.
Previously, the leaked image from the official site showed the name as *Zero Ultra*, so just like *Coffee Monster*, this seems to be another Japan-exclusive product.
The design remains the same, with a 355ml Japanese version. The flavor is still unknown—there are no "zero" labels on the flyer, but it's likely a zero-calorie drink.
There are still a lot of unanswered questions.
Since *Monster Energy Ultra* has a Japan-exclusive name like *Coffee Monster*, it might not become part of a larger Ultra series.
However, this is sure to shake up the Japanese energy drink market!
With Red Bull Summer Edition launching slightly earlier, this summer is shaping up to be the best one yet for energy drink fans!
Can’t wait for July 21! ((o(´∀`)o))
As of April 4: Initial Discovery of the Mistaken Listing on the Official Website
While browsing the Japanese Monster Energy website, I noticed that *Zero Ultra* had been added!!
※ As of April 5, 10:50 AM, *Zero Ultra* has been removed from the site. It’s unclear whether this was a mistake or intentionally taken down.
The description was in English only—will this change soon!?
It was also listed in the product lineup.
This confirms it—Monster Energy Ultra is coming to Japan!
All energy drink fans must be rejoicing right now! (●´ω`●)
The Ultra series has already been sold in various countries, including the US, Canada, Brazil, Chile, New Zealand, and Mexico.
Since *Zero Ultra* was the first Ultra product released in those markets, it makes sense for Japan to start with this flavor.
With concerns over excessive sugar consumption, expanding the zero-calorie lineup will provide more choices.
Despite being sugar-free and calorie-free, *Zero Ultra* retains an enjoyable flavor, making it accessible to everyone.
If you've been disappointed by sugar-free energy drinks in the past, this is one you should try!

In 2001, while living in the United States, I encountered energy drinks through the dance scene and was deeply impressed. After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 7,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries. I am also active as a critic and expert, receiving media interviews.
