2016 America: Red Bull Summer Edition Kiwi Twist released

Posted on April 5, 2016 | Last updated February 20, 2025

2016 U.S. - Red Bull Summer Edition Kiwi Twist Release
Back in October 2015, we discussed the 2016 Red Bull releases, including the Orange Edition and the Summer Edition.

The Orange Edition was already released in February 2016, and many people have probably gotten their hands on it, even at U.S. military bases.
Now, the long-awaited 2016 Red Bull Summer Edition is finally launching in the U.S.!

2016 Summer Edition Set for Pre-Summer Release

2016 U.S. - Red Bull Summer Edition Kiwi Twist Release
As of 2015, the planned release date was set for May 2, 2016.
Since there haven't been any recent updates, unless there’s been a delay, it’s highly likely that it will be available before summer.

Now, what about Japan’s Summer Edition this year?
With a large amount of Spring Edition stock still remaining, it’s questionable whether they can release a Summer Edition on top of that. It might be a tough call.

Germany Launching Summer Edition in April

2016 U.S. - Red Bull Summer Edition Kiwi Twist Release
In Germany, the Summer Edition Kiwi Apple is launching in a 250ml can.
It has already been listed on the official website (as of a few days before this article), so it’s highly likely that it’s already available.
The initial release date was expected to be April 1, but as of now, no one I know has gotten their hands on it yet (´・ω・`).
It looks like Germany will be getting it ahead of the U.S.

Based on past trends, it's likely that the Kiwi Apple or Kiwi Twist flavor will spread across Europe as well.

Poland’s Orange Summer Edition

There hasn't been much confirmed information yet, and even people in Poland seem unaware of it,
but an Orange Summer Edition, Mandarin, appears to be on the way.

Having different Summer Editions releasing at the same time is a first, which is quite surprising.
The flavor profile is similar to the U.S. Orange Edition, but in some ways, it also resembles Japan’s Pink Bull.
Once more details are available, I’ll update the news accordingly.

In 2001, while living in the United States, I encountered energy drinks through the dance scene and was deeply impressed. After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 7,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries. I am also active as a critic and expert, receiving media interviews.
