The Monster Energy Gear Campaign, which has sparked a lot of controversy and buzz every year, is back again this year.

The campaign will start as soon as the vending machines are stocked, and it will end on December 26, 2016.
This time, if you find a winning sticker, you can receive limited-edition merchandise.

2016 Gear Campaign Seems to Avoid Previous Confusion

It feels like we’ve finally moved to postcard submissions.

In the past, a dedicated site for first-come, first-served submissions was used in 2014 and 2015, and both times, the server crashed. For two consecutive years, there were major issues, which became an annual tradition among energy drink fans. However, this year, it seems we’ve settled on the postcard submission method that was suggested at that time.

Although the company handling the presents will have more manual work, it will likely result in fewer real-time complaints, so I think it was the best choice. However, there will probably still be a lot of tweets about prizes arriving later than expected or not arriving at all...

Limiting it to vending machines is also a good idea, as it prevents people from just taking the stickers without buying the product.

However, although there are prizes for 10,000 people, there will still be “Losers” on the stickers, so it’s no longer a “Anyone can get Monster Energy gear” campaign. On the flip side, if you win, you’ll get the exclusive gear, so if you’re lucky, you could win a prize with just one can! Personally, I’m not great with luck, so I’m not expecting much Σ(´∀`;)

In 2001, while living in the United States, I encountered energy drinks through the dance scene and was deeply impressed. After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 7,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries. I am also active as a critic and expert, receiving media interviews.
