Posted on June 18, 2016 | Last updated February 20, 2025

2016 US: New Mutant and Hydro products from Monster Energy brand expected to launch!
In 2016, new bottle-based products are being added to the Monster Energy brand lineup. Here's a summary of the information currently available.

*Note: August 5, 2016... Release date and ingredient-related information will be added.

MONSTER MUTANT

2016 US: New Mutant and Hydro products from Monster Energy brand expected to launch!Expected to launch in the summer of 2016.
Looking at the sample images, it appears to be a bottle-based product.
The 20oz PET bottle has no Monster Energy branding, but the logo is placed on the label. It is being marketed as a "new super soda."

The ingredients include 115mg of caffeine and 190kcal, while other blends remain unknown. Recent information suggests it is positioning itself as a revolutionary refreshing sparkling beverage. We can expect a refreshing drink and flavor experience! (Updated on August 5, 2016)

The flavor is still undecided, but green and red variants are planned. (Updated on August 5, 2016)
The price is expected to be $1.99, aiming for energy drink pricing, so it will be exciting to see what kind of product it will be when it launches! ((o(´∀`)o))

MONSTER HYDRO

2016 US: New Mutant and Hydro products from Monster Energy brand expected to launch!Expected to launch in winter 2016.
This will be available in a 16.9oz size, 500ml bottle.
Ingredients include 120mg of caffeine and 100kcal, with other energy blends planned as well. (Updated on August 5, 2016)

The cap includes a pull tab, but the bottle itself will be made of plastic, offering a new container design. This new container is reportedly causing quite a stir in the industry.

Hydro will be a non-carbonated sports drink, similar to Coca-Cola's Aquarius, and other products in that line.
The price is expected to be between $2.69 and $2.89, which is relatively high. It will be interesting to see if consumers will buy it.

The flavors for Hydro are still undecided, but four variations are planned. While the color details are not yet available, I am still uncertain about whether all four will make it to market. I expect to have the final product in hand by October. (Updated on August 5, 2016)

When I first saw this image, I thought it was a yellow label on a PET bottle, but it might actually be a transparent PET bottle with yellow liquid, with a transparent label printed with the Monster logo. If that's the case, maintaining this color would make it undrinkable. (^_^;) That's why I don't collect PET bottles! LOL

The Battle Among Beverage Manufacturers

After Coca-Cola acquired Monster Beverage stock, significant moves have been made with the launch of Mutant and Hydro.

These products will likely be pushed onto shelves alongside Coca-Cola's offerings, potentially forcing PepsiCo products out. The target seems to be Mountain Dew-related products. Since both brands offer excellent products, it will be interesting to see what happens going forward.
