Monster Energy × Battlefield 1 Campaign (Nov 1 - Dec 26, 2016)
Previously, I covered the Battlefield 1 campaign happening in the U.S. before my trip, but now Japan has launched its own exclusive Battlefield 1 campaign.

Special edition Monster Energy Original cans featuring a Battlefield 1 topper, along with a battle pack code sticker, are already available in stores.

Campaign Overview

Period: November 1, 2016 – December 26, 2016
Prizes: Battle Pack, PlayStation®4 & Battlefield 1
Eligible Products: Original, Absolutely Zero, Chaos, Ultra, M3

Monster Energy × Battlefield 1 Campaign (Nov 1 - Dec 26, 2016)
This time, in addition to the Monster Energy Original with a special Battlefield 1 topper, all Monster Energy products come with a Battlefield 1 campaign sticker.

※ Some cans in stores may not have the campaign sticker, so be sure to check before purchasing.
※ Monster Ultra, Monster Chaos, and Monster Energy M3 sold in vending machines are not eligible.
※ Online purchases may come from non-campaign stock, so it's best to avoid them.

No Collaboration Can for This Campaign

Even before the campaign started, many fans speculated that a special collaboration can like the Gear Campaign might be released. However, this time, only a topper has been added.

In the U.S., as reported in the news and shared on social media after my trip, the campaign featured three flavors in two sizes, with special Battle Pack markings on the packaging. This created a strong in-store promotional effect, making the products even more appealing to fans.

Monster Energy × Battlefield 1 Campaign (Nov 1 - Dec 26, 2016)
At the pre-launch event held in Roppongi on October 22, it was announced that an "exclusive Battlefield 1 collaboration drink" would be distributed. However, based on reports from attendees, this turned out to be a Battlefield 1-labeled bottled water and a Monster Energy Original with a topper. A clearer announcement would have been appreciated.

That said, I personally didn’t expect a full-fledged collaboration can, so having a topper alone is already a nice touch.

The scale of gaming campaigns in Japan and the U.S. differs significantly, and when it comes to energy drinks, the gap is even wider. Given this, it’s understandable that a special edition can wasn’t released.

If a collaboration can is ever released in the future, let’s make sure the energy drink community gives it the hype it deserves! ((o(´∀`)o))

In 2001, while living in the United States, I encountered energy drinks through the dance scene and was deeply impressed. After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 7,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries. I am also active as a critic and expert, receiving media interviews.
