Red Bull Japan to Release 330ml Size on March 14! Campaign Included!
The larger size of Red Bull is finally making its way to Japan! Until now, Japan’s Red Bull has been smaller compared to overseas, but now a 330ml can is being released at a reasonable price! The balance of size and price is fantastic! Red Bull Japan is on the rise ((o(´∀`)o))

Is the Size Up for the Tokyo Olympics?

Red Bull Japan to Release 330ml Size on March 14! Campaign Included!Though it's still a bit far off, I think the size increase may be targeted at foreign visitors in Japan with the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in mind. For foreigners, a 250ml can priced at $2.5 might feel a bit insufficient. Moreover, it's not just foreigners but also Japanese people who may want a larger Red Bull.

This time, the much-anticipated size increase brings a price of 268 yen (excluding tax), which is such an affordable price that it makes you wonder what the previous prices were! At this price, Red Bull becomes an easy purchase, and I think it was a good decision for consumers. Japan tends to be overcharged for many overseas imports, so this price setting is simply fantastic.

The 330ml size, instead of the mini size often used by those staying up late, feels like a great shift for athletes as a hydration option.

Is the 185ml Blue Edition Discontinued?

However, I noticed that the Blue Edition is absent from the image showing various Red Bull cans. It seems to be missing from the official site as well, making it highly likely that it has been discontinued.

As I tweeted earlier, I think limited edition flavors should be released temporarily. This would build excitement every time, which I think is a good strategy. This way, there’s also the potential for new flavors to look forward to every year.

In 2001, while living in the United States, I encountered energy drinks through the dance scene and was deeply impressed. After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 7,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries. I am also active as a critic and expert, receiving media interviews.
