The sales of Monster Energy in Japan have been continuously growing. In 2018, the sales volume was about 1.3 times higher than the previous year, and in 2019, it maintained a double-digit increase. In response, Asahi Group Holdings has invested 3.3 billion yen in the Asahi Beverages Gunma factory. It was announced that half of the production of domestically produced Monster Energy, which was previously outsourced, will now be handled in-house.

Monster Energy's New Release, Pipeline Punch has been sold out due to overwhelming demand, and the news has spread across the internet. Although there is no official mention on Asahi Beverages' website, when Energy Drink Man contacted Asahi Beverages directly, they confirmed that Pipeline Punch has indeed been discontinued. That was fast! Σ(´∀｀；) [Update] Possible Restock!? According to BIGLOBE News, they are currently working on restocking it, though the timeline is yet to be determined. I spoke with three people today, but they didn’t have any information about the resumption of production...
