Coca-Cola energy drink to be launched in Europe in April 2019, with global expansion in the pipeline
Coca-Cola will launch its first-ever energy drink under the Coca-Cola brand in Europe starting in April.
Energy drinks have long been considered dangerous, but they remain one of the fastest-growing sectors in the beverage industry. Previously, Coca-Cola has globally expanded energy drink brands such as NOS and Burn, but now, they are finally entering the energy drink market directly under the "Coca-Cola" brand.

250ml Can, Two Varieties: Original and Sugar-Free
The Coca-Cola energy drink launching in Europe is described as having a "Coca-Cola taste," and will be available in two versions: the regular version and a sugar-free, calorie-free version.
Other energy drinks with cola flavor have struggled in the past, but it will be exciting to see how the original Coca-Cola brand performs with this flavor!
Energy Ingredients in Coca-Cola Energy Drink
The ingredients include 80mg of natural caffeine, guarana, and vitamin B group, but no taurine. The 80mg of caffeine is the same amount found in a 250ml can of Red Bull, which is a standard caffeine amount globally.
It has a simple composition, and I believe it’s a very good choice in many ways.
Launch in Europe, Potential Global Expansion
According to official announcements, the launch will begin in early April in Spain and Hungary, followed by the UK, with a planned release in Germany by May.
Although Europe is ahead in this regard, it is expected to be rolled out in other markets in 2019 and 2020.
Ahead of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, there is even a possibility of Coca-Cola's energy drink expanding into Japan. This is definitely something to look forward to! ((o(´∀`)o))

After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 7,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries. I am also active as a critic and expert, receiving media interviews.
