Energy Hunter: A Fruit-flavored 300ml Bottle Can
Aeon's new private brand energy drink, named "Energy Hunter"... I wonder if there weren't any other product name options Σ(´∀`;)
The name feels a bit too simple, kind of like low-cost energy drinks such as "Miracle Energy" or "Energy Bomber" (;´∀`)
Energy Hunter comes in a 300ml bottle can, which is convenient for portability, even if you can't finish it all. And the price is incredibly affordable at 149 yen (tax included)! It's cheaper than other private brand energy drinks.
The flavor is a sweet and tangy berry & passion fruit. In pre-release testing, many have said the balance between sweetness and tartness is great, making it easy to drink. It's interesting that they chose not to go for a traditional flavor here.
Surprisingly Strong Energy Ingredients
With a whopping 195mg of caffeine, it's the strongest in Japan! It also contains 600mg of arginine, which has become a standard ingredient in Japan (again, higher than other brands). Additionally, it includes vitamins and ginseng extract.
So far, private brand energy drinks like Minasama no Osumi Tsuki Energy Drink and Matsukiyo Energy Drink have been popular due to their low prices and impressive caffeine content, but this one takes it to the next level.
However, the can design feels very typical of a private brand, which is a bit disappointing. If they follow the example of Matsukiyo and expand the flavors to create a series, it could change the brand image. Let's hope for that!

After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 7,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries. I am also active as a critic and expert, receiving media interviews.
