Real Gold Dragon Boost released on October 7, 2019
Real Gold has released a new energy drink, "Dragon Boost," on October 7th (Monday).
Recently, Real Gold has been releasing many new products labeled as energy drinks, and it's great that they are offering them in cans. I believe it's the right choice to unify the series with 250ml cans as more new products are released, expanding the series.

Boosting from the Inside with Oriental Ingredients
Dragon Boost is a rare energy drink that incorporates traditional herbal ingredients. It contains six types of ingredients: Korean ginseng, red ginseng, Siberian ginseng, longan, wolfberry, and reishi mushroom, which make it unique compared to other energy drinks.
The standard energy ingredient, caffeine, is 80mg, which is typical. It’s interesting that Coca-Cola chose not to go overboard with caffeine here, staying true to their style.
Targeting Men in Their 30s and Beyond
The primary consumer group for energy drinks is men in their 20s to 40s. While men in their 20s have traditionally driven market growth, in 2018, men in their 30s to 40s outpaced the growth rate of men in their 20s, contributing to the market’s expansion.
It seems that Real Gold Dragon Boost is targeting men in their 30s and beyond, focusing not just on energy replenishment but on "boosting internal power and endurance." This concept aligns well with their previous releases, like Ultra Charge Lemon and Rocket Start, which targeted office workers. The focus remains consistent.
The can features a red top and red tab, similar to Coca-Cola Energy. The red top definitely makes a bold impact.
The can design features Real Gold’s lightning bolt logo and a red dragon, making it stand out. Overall, the layout of the logo, illustration, and product name feels well-organized, and it’s likely the most "energy drink" styled packaging in the Real Gold series.
The flavor is a mixed berry flavor, with the herbal taste characteristic of Dragon Boost added. Typically, energy drinks are more successful when they don’t emphasize the flavor too much, so it’ll be interesting to see how this one is received. I’m looking forward to its release!
