Coca-Cola Energy launches four new flavors in America

Finally, after a delay compared to other countries, Coca-Cola Energy was released in the USA in January 2020.

As expected from the largest energy drink consumer market, they launched 4 flavors at once.

Two Flavors: Original and Cherry, Four Options

In the USA, in addition to the original Coca-Cola Energy, a cherry flavor will also be available. Both flavors will have a sugar-free version, offering a total of four options to enjoy.

The cherry flavor is the first new Coca-Cola Energy flavor in the world. It seems like cherry Coke lovers are in for a treat!

Whether the cherry flavor will taste like regular cherry juice or a Coke-based cherry Coke remains to be seen, and we'll have to wait until its release in the new year!

355ml Big Size

As expected in the USA, the size is 355ml (12 FL oz), which is larger than the 250ml version sold in other parts of the world. 250ml might feel a bit small for the American market.

The price is $2.49 for a 355ml can, which isn't exactly cheap.

The ingredients are the same as the 250ml Coca-Cola Energy, with 114mg of caffeine, guarana, and B vitamins.

Finally Released After Agreement with Monster Energy

Coca-Cola purchased shares of Monster Energy, and all the energy drink brands previously sold by Coca-Cola are now handled by Monster Energy.

There was initially a legal dispute because releasing an energy drink violated the original agreement, but after arbitration, it was decided that Coca-Cola could launch energy drinks, leading to the release of Coca-Cola Energy in the USA.

However, similar to Japan, the original Coca-Cola is sold in large quantities at very low prices in the USA, so it remains to be seen how well Coca-Cola Energy, priced at $2.49 per can, will be received.
