Topvalu Energy Hunter's second release, Sugar Free, is released
Aeon’s private brand energy drink, Energy Hunter, released a new sugar-free version on January 7, 2020! As with other private brand energy drinks, we were hoping for a series, and it’s finally here!! It’s exciting to see this come to fruition!

High Caffeine, Low Price Sugar-Free Version
The Topvalu Energy Hunter, with its PB price of 138 yen (excluding tax), features a high caffeine content of 195mg and comes in a 300ml large-capacity can with a cap, has generated buzz. Now, the sugar-free version is out!
However, it’s not a completely zero-calorie drink—it contains 2.1g of carbs and 12kcal. The energy ingredients are unchanged from the original.
The packaging design features a light blue color, typical for sugar-free drinks. We were all hoping for more colorful cans when Energy Hunter first launched, so it’s great to see the second edition released!
It’s interesting to see how the artificial sweetener taste comes through and if it was hidden well. If the taste of artificial sweeteners is too noticeable, it could be a bit unpleasant, but we’ll have to see.
Energy Hunter Energy Jelly and Energy Tablets Released Simultaneously
Along with the sugar-free drink, Energy Hunter has also released energy jelly and energy tablets. The tablets are available in limited quantities. These contain caffeine, arginine, and other energy ingredients just like the energy drinks.
It seems like different consumption methods like "sucking" or "chewing" are becoming trendy lately! While tablets seem a bit questionable, I think the jelly could be pretty good. Since the tablets are limited edition, they may just be a trial product.
Since these are not energy drinks, I don’t plan on reviewing the jelly or tablets separately. However, I may add a note to the review of the original Energy Hunter. Review of Energy Hunter Original here.
Looking Forward to Energy Hunter Third Edition
I was hoping Energy Hunter would become a series, so I’m relieved that the second edition, the sugar-free version, has been released. I had already created an Energy Hunter category for the series (*´艸`*)
Next, they should definitely release a flavor that is sure to be popular for the third edition. With their vast store data, they should be able to avoid any failures and create a hit energy drink!
Just like Seiyu's energy drinks, Aeon can also leverage a massive amount of data, so they should be able to create a successful energy drink. I’m excited for the third edition of Energy Hunter.
And it seems like the second energy drink boom article I wrote in 2019 is coming true!
