Non-Caffeine Monster Energy Finally Released for Restaurants in JAPAN!

Speaking of non-caffeine Monster Energy, it was once released only in the United States as MONSTER ENERGY UNLEADED, but from February 18, 2025, non-caffeine Monster Energy is finally released for restaurants in Japan!

The product name is "Monster Energy Can 250ml for Business Use," and it is described as a caffeine-free carbonated beverage intended to be used as a mixer for alcoholic drinks in restaurants.

I never thought non-caffeine Monster Energy would be released in Japan, even though it’s intended to be used as a mixer!

The "Monster Energy Can 250ml for Business Use" released this time, as the name suggests, will not be sold to the general public but will only be available for business use as a mixer for alcoholic drinks. Therefore, there are currently no plans to sell it in retail stores like supermarkets or convenience stores.
Non-caffeine Monster Energy 'Monster Energy Can 250ml for Business Use' is finally released for restaurants!
Until now, some restaurants have independently offered energy drink cocktails by mixing alcohol with energy drinks. It seems that the decision to release non-caffeine Monster Energy was made to avoid the simultaneous intake of alcohol and caffeine.

The mystery behind carbonated Monster Energy is finally solved

About six months ago, I was discussing "Monster Energy 250ml cans" with energy drink enthusiasts, and I was curious about why it had to be a "carbonated beverage."

Non-caffeine Monster Energy 'Monster Energy Can 250ml for Business Use' is finally released for restaurants!
On the back of the can, it says, "This product is intended for bars, restaurants, and other foodservice establishments. It is designed to be mixed with alcohol and does not contain caffeine," with a "Zero Caffeine" mark. Now it makes sense.

There might be demand for 'Monster Energy Can 250ml for Business Use' beyond just restaurants

This is because, for about 10 years, I’ve often seen people on social media saying things like, "I want Monster Energy, but I don’t want caffeine right now, or I don’t want to consume any more caffeine."

Now that energy drinks are widely recognized, I believe there is a certain demand for non-caffeine Monster Energy, not just for restaurant use!

If the news about "Monster Energy Can 250ml for Business Use" continues to generate buzz on social media and the demand for non-caffeine products grows, I hope that non-caffeine Monster Energy will eventually be available in supermarkets and convenience stores as well!

After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 7,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries.
