This is a review of "NOS LOADED CHERRY," a cherry-flavored energy drink from the NOS energy drink series released by Coca-Cola.

Flavor of NOS LOADED CHERRY

Upon opening, there’s a strong tangy, sugar-filled cherry punch scent. It’s the kind of scent commonly found in cherry-flavored drinks.

When poured into a glass, the color is not that of natural cherries but more of an artificially colored punch. At this point, I wasn’t expecting much, wondering if NOS could deliver a unique taste.

However, when I tried it, the flavor was absolutely exquisite!
The cherry flavor itself is quite stable.

While this kind of flavor often tends to lean towards an acerola-like tartness, it maintains a strong cherry flavor despite the acidity. I believe the sweetness is enhanced, making it a soft cherry punch without any unpleasant aftertaste (●´ω｀●).

With a solid cherry flavor as the main note, combined with acerola-like sweetness, a moderate tanginess, and a slight aftertaste... These elements come together harmoniously, making the overall balance very pleasant.

If you enjoy punchy cherry flavors, this is definitely a great energy drink, and as far as cherry flavors go, I’d say it’s one of the best in the North American energy drink scene ( ´∀｀)bｸﾞｯ!

Energy Ingredients of NOS LOADED CHERRY

It contains 160mg of caffeine, along with the standard ingredients found in NOS, such as guarana, theanine, and taurine.
With over 50g of sugar used, it’s probably this balance of sweetness and tanginess that gives it its unique taste.

So Delicious, It Could Be the Main Flavor

While it’s a matter of personal taste, I’d say NOS LOADED CHERRY could easily be the flagship flavor of NOS. If you’re not particularly a fan of cherry or punch flavors, you might not be as impressed, but cherry flavors can vary greatly between delicious and subpar, and I was genuinely amazed by how well-crafted the LOADED CHERRY flavor is.

As of 2015, NOS hasn’t seen much growth in its market share in the U.S.
It’s clear that the drink is selling well, but given how exceptional the taste is, both the original and the other flavors, I think it deserves more recognition.
