This is the Canada-exclusive flavor, NOS MANGO DRIFT. It’s a revamped version of NOS MANGO that was previously released by Coca-Cola.

The NOS MANGO DRIFT, which I’m reviewing today, was released after NOS became part of the Monster Energy portfolio. Around the same time, in the U.S., a slightly different product was released under the name "NITRO MANGO."

Flavor of NOS MANGO DRIFT

Upon opening, a rich, sweet mango aroma bursts out, mixed with an artificial, jarring scent.

When poured into a glass, it has a transparent, thick, glowing orange color. What an amazing color!

Tasting it, the flavor is a sweet tropical fruit-like taste that goes beyond natural sweetness, filled with a bittersweet taste that fills both the nose and mouth. This bittersweetness has a peculiar quality, making it an overly sugary and artificial mango flavor, far from the natural mango taste.

As you get used to it, you may start accepting the bittersweetness and intense sweetness, and eventually, you begin to taste a tangy aftertaste, which enhances the fruity aspect, making it unexpectedly pleasant. It's strange how that happens (^_^;)

There’s almost no residue left in the mouth after drinking, but the sweet aroma lingers on. In fact, it might be more accurate to say it lingers *too* much. It's not the type of drink that makes you want to chug it down, and the heavy, sweet, artificial mango flavor may cause many people to give up midway (；´∀｀)

Energy Ingredients of NOS MANGO DRIFT

It contains 170mg of caffeine, 200mg of taurine, 10mg of inositol, and 1.4mg of guarana. The amounts of the non-caffeine ingredients are a bit low, which makes them feel underwhelming.

Design of NOS MANGO DRIFT

The NOS MANGO DRIFT released in Canada is slightly different from the NITRO MANGO released in the U.S. Both the product name and the can color are subtly different.

NOS MANGO DRIFT For some reason, this "MANGO DRIFT," which was released only in Canada, was also marketed with an image designed for the U.S. market.

Both versions feature packaging designed for the U.S. market, though the colors remain true to MANGO DRIFT. Only the language and overall package design are adapted for the U.S. market.

The tab is silver, as expected for a Canadian product. It would be nice if NOS used colored tabs or tops for their regular products as well.
