NOS's fruit punch flavor, Power Punch. In the NOS series, the Rowdy flavor was released as a punch flavor in 2016. However, after the collaboration with Kyle Busch ended, it was rebranded as NOS POWER PUNCH in 2019.

It contains 160mg of caffeine and taurine. Very simple. It would have been more interesting if it had some of NOS’s signature ingredients, but...

Compared to the previous NOS Rowdy, there are slight differences in caffeine, sugar content, and other elements, but they’re negligible—pretty much no real change.

A black can with red accents that represent the punch flavor, combined with the NOS logo—simple and clear. NOS has been expanding its flavor lineup, making its cans more colorful, and the black-and-red design of POWER PUNCH stands out on store shelves.

The previous NOS Rowdy had more intricate patterns and illustrations, but POWER PUNCH follows the standard, simple NOS design. Lining them up side by side really makes you appreciate how cool Rowdy looked.

As I mentioned in the NOS Rowdy review, I can’t help but wonder what would have happened if NOS had launched a fruit punch flavor right away with this POWER PUNCH design when it was first revamped under Monster Energy in North America. Most likely, it would have just been another punch flavor added to the NOS lineup.

Rowdy stood out on store shelves with its bold design and was also a guaranteed hit in terms of flavor. Looking back, launching it as Rowdy instead of just a regular punch flavor in 2016 was absolutely the right move. While the collaboration with Kyle Busch has ended, I hope POWER PUNCH stays in the lineup for as long as possible.
