Energy Drinks You Want to Drink in the Summer
The excitement from the first hashtag event was incredible, so I was thinking about what to do for the next one. I didn’t want it to be a bust, so I wondered what I could do to avoid that. Then, I heard the big news for the summer of 2015: Red Bull was releasing the Summer Edition, and Monster Energy was releasing the Ultra!

With summer being the season when energy drink consumption is at its peak, and the release of big-name products coinciding perfectly, I decided to host the hashtag event with the theme '#EnergyDrinksYouWantToDrinkInTheSummer'!

Excitement Builds Before the Event Starts!

The hashtag event ‘#EnergyDrinksYouWantToDrinkInTheSummer’ was scheduled for the weekend when Monster Energy Ultra was released. On the day of the event, some participants even created original images to help promote it! This sense of unity is one of the best parts of a hashtag event, and it's impressive how enthusiastic people were even before it started! (lol)

It’s amazing to see how much love there is for energy drinks!

Even Bigger Excitement than Last Time

In the end, the event for ‘#EnergyDrinksYouWantToDrinkInTheSummer’ showed an even bigger turnout than the first one! I tweeted the starting signal around 8:59 PM, and at exactly 9:00:05 PM, the first tweet appeared (lol). After that, tweets followed at 7-second and 19-second intervals. I noticed this when I was compiling the tweets for ‘#EnergyDrinksYouWantToDrinkInTheSummer’ (In the compilation, the tweet at 5 seconds seems to have disappeared, so I swapped the 5-second and 7-second tweets to make the top image appear, sorry about that m(_ _)m).

After that, tweets, retweets, and likes continued until past 10:30 PM, and we had more participants and tweets than last time.

The increase in participants could be attributed to more people becoming fans of energy drinks recently, more interactions among those fans, people getting used to seeing energy drink-related tweets in their timelines, and the release of new summer products.

The highlight of a hashtag event is that anyone who loves energy drinks, even if they’re not a hardcore fan, can join in. I especially felt that the wider participation this time was due to the popularity of flavors that are loved internationally being released in Japan, and more people enjoying the taste of energy drinks.

One of the features of the energy drink hashtag event is that you can post tweets with images related to the theme, and by using the hashtag, you can easily find different people even if you're not following them. Plus, with retweets and likes, the event can expand even more.

So, every time someone retweets, energy drink images flood the timeline, and this momentum just keeps building! You can’t see this kind of spectacle in any event other than a hashtag campaign (*´艸`*)

By the way, I already have ideas for the next hashtag event, so I look forward to getting everyone excited again once things settle down!
