This is a review of Power Point Himbeere, a budget energy drink brand from Germany.

At around 100 yen, it's a low-priced energy drink, but recently, it has been steadily establishing itself as a brand that regularly releases game collaboration cans.

The drink maintains a clear, bright red berry color. It has a unique sweet and sour scent reminiscent of apricots, which is as strong as the impression of its color.

The taste is characterized by a smooth berry sweetness with the tartness of berries and acerola almost completely removed. While you can enjoy the solid berry flavor, there is absolutely no strong acidity or lingering aftertaste typical of berry drinks. Additionally, there is no chemical taste or the cheap flavor of soda, so it can be enjoyed without any discomfort, and it’s gone quickly when you’re drinking it in a 250ml can.

It doesn't have the refreshing kick of strong carbonation, nor does it bring the fruitiness you might expect. It’s a very average berry flavor, and if you’re not focusing on the taste, it might feel too ordinary to leave a strong impression.

In reality, although it lacks standout characteristics, it is a very satisfying and tasty berry-flavored energy drink. Personally, I prefer Power Point Himbeere to stronger berry flavors like Burn because it's easier to drink.

Design of Power Point Himbeere

This design is from 2011 and is quite old. Honestly, I wouldn’t have been inclined to buy it based on this design alone, but they’ve done several design updates recently, and it has finally become more appealing.

It’s surprising that this design has been around for nearly 10 years. Perhaps it’s because it’s a budget energy drink. When you look at a single can, it undeniably looks a bit tacky, but when you gather a few, it strangely starts to look cohesive.

The tab is silver. This part hasn’t changed with the design updates. If it were a colored tab, it would create a more unified look.
