PRIME ENERGY ICE POP

Posted on February 12, 2024 | Last updated January 30, 2025

PRIME ENERGY ICE POP
Released in June 2023, just in time for Independence Day, PRIME ENERGY ICE POP is the sixth flavor in the PRIME ENERGY series.

This flavor is inspired by the iconic "Rocket Pop" ice pop, known for its red, white, and blue colors reminiscent of the American flag.

With fitness-oriented energy drinks gaining popularity, many brands have released their own take on Rocket Pop flavors. As someone who highly rates the taste of the PRIME ENERGY series, I'm eager to see how well they’ve recreated this classic flavor!

In 2001, while living in the United States, I encountered energy drinks through the dance scene and was deeply impressed. After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 7,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries. I am also active as a critic and expert, receiving media interviews.

Flavor of PRIME ENERGY ICE POP

Upon opening, a sweet aroma spreads immediately. It's difficult to describe—it's not an artificial scent but a refreshing and light sweetness, reminiscent of Calpis or peach. Let's give it a try.
Flavor of PRIME ENERGY ICE POP

The taste perfectly matches the aroma—gentle and soft sweetness defines this flavor. There's a slight depth with a milky sweetness and fragrance that enhances the overall satisfaction.

In addition to the sweetness, a subtle tartness, characteristic of ice pops, provides a nice accent. The light and smooth mouthfeel make it easy to drink, and before I knew it, I had finished the entire can.

When it comes to ice pop flavors, I usually expect them to taste somewhat artificial and not particularly flavorful. However, PRIME ENERGY ICE POP surprises with a pleasant, refined sweetness that feels almost elegant.

What’s even more impressive is that it’s completely sugar-free. It tastes amazing when chilled, but even at room temperature, there's no unpleasant artificial sweetener aftertaste—just a mellow sweetness and refreshing tartness.

Not only does it deliver an authentic ice pop experience, but as a sugar-free energy drink, it boasts an exceptionally high level of completeness.

Relying solely on color variations to expand the product lineup has its limitations, so adding creative designs that match each flavor is essential. We might see even more intricate and unique PRIME ENERGY designs in the future.
