Energy Drink Mania started drinking energy drinks in the early 2000s when energy drinks became explosively popular in the U.S. At the same time as the energy drink boom in Japan, we launched the website and began traveling to various countries to explore the local energy drink scene.

From reading the comments, I noticed a change in the times: more people are now enjoying energy drinks, which has become much more mainstream compared to the past.

Although I had heard that the web version of GetNavi would be published a little over a month after the magazine issue, it was a pleasant surprise that they featured it with a comprehensive link to my contribution. The article from GetNaviWeb was succinct, but it was exciting for me to see the energy drink enthusiast represented on such a wide-reaching platform.

The content was slightly adjusted by each service, but GetNaviWeb provided the best version, and the most detailed content appeared in the magazine’s feature pages. Since the magazine also covered niche international information, I think it was especially interesting.
Get Navi June Issue Energy Drink Special on April 24, 2019
I contributed to the Energy Drink Special in the June 2019 issue of Get Navi, published on April 24. I would like to thank the writer who provided a deep understanding of the energy drink enthusiast’s perspective.
In the feature, I reviewed 12 energy drinks from a selection of 40 types available in Japan. Due to space limitations, many other drinks were not covered, but I also provided basic information on energy drinks and insights into the global energy drink scene.
Unlike many mass-market magazines that focus on nutritional and energy ingredients, this article was more targeted toward enthusiasts, and I think it made for a great read.
The article was colorfully designed with diagrams, offering a structure that was fresh and engaging. I was truly impressed by the depth of this special feature.
After the publication, the article was well-received, and it was also decided to be featured on the web version of Get Navi.
Kamion Magazine, November 1, 2016, Energy Drink Feature
I contributed an answer to questions regarding energy drinks in the well-known trucking magazine, Kamion, in the Energy Drink feature. I provided insights on the difference between energy drinks and nutritional drinks, which are often confused in Japan.
The feature was spread over two pages and addressed common questions, such as the difference between energy drinks and nutritional drinks, and the appeal of energy drinks.
It was clear to me how much effort the team had put into making the layout both visually appealing and informative. A big thank you to the team!
The feature focused on energy drinks in Japan, where the market fluctuates, with many products entering and disappearing quickly. I think I was able to introduce some solid brands that continue to produce high-quality energy drinks.
July 12, 2016, Tokoro-san’s Nippon no Deban “American Energy Drink Sizes” Contribution
I provided photos for a segment on "American Energy Drink Sizes" that aired on Tokoro-san’s Nippon no Deban. The feature highlighted the large sizes of energy drinks available in American convenience stores.
The segment featured several shots of Monster Energy, comparing different sizes sold in the U.S. and Japan. It was exciting to see my photos featured in the broadcast.
Despite some mistakes regarding the sizes, the segment generated a lot of buzz, and I think it was an enjoyable moment for energy drink fans.
The impact of TV exposure was significant—traffic to my website skyrocketed after the segment aired, even though the URL wasn’t prominently displayed.
July 28, 2014, Weekly Playboy “Which Energy Drink Do You Want to Drink This Summer?” Contribution
I contributed insights on energy drinks for the July 28, 2014, issue of Weekly Playboy. The article focused on various energy drinks to enjoy during the summer.
I provided a 3-page spread, offering commentary on the energy drink industry, reviews of various products, and rankings.
My comments were published alongside those of a pharmacist, and I was introduced as "The Man Who Has Drunk Every Energy Drink."
Though my interview was much longer, the feature was more visually focused due to the color pages.
In my discussions with the journalist, it was clear that they were a true energy drink enthusiast, which I appreciated greatly.
