RAIZIN
This is a dry-type energy drink that provides a "Raizin" feeling (according to the can description). It’s 185ml, so it fits entirely in a tumbler. However, 210 yen for this size feels expensive. It might not be enough for the gulping energy drinkers in their teens and twenties. The promotion also seems to be targeting businessmen more than anything else.

Ginger Spice, Too Spicy to Handle

As for the taste, it’s probably easiest to imagine it as a ginger ale-style vitamin drink. The ingredients list mentions ginger extract, and the flavor is pure ginger. This seems like an energy drink made for women with cold feet. I think women should definitely give RAIZIN a try to warm up. Considering that, 185ml might be just the right amount?

The flavor is ginger, but since it contains spices, it’s quite spicy. Energy-Drink-kun isn’t great with spicy foods, and I can’t even eat wasabi. So, even if others say it’s just a little spice, the spiciness of RAIZIN hits pretty hard for me. I’m glad I didn’t buy in bulk~ε-(´∀｀*)ﾎｯ

After drinking it, you’ll feel it when you breathe. Just taking a sip and breathing makes your breath feel hot from the spice power. And your throat will tingle. However, the drink itself is quite smooth. The carbonation bubbles are fizzy and have a good crispness. The color is a bright gold, which gives it a light, spicy finish, unlike the heavier energy drinks.

If you’re not great with spicy, I recommend trying this: take a generous sip of RAIZIN, then breathe out through your nose. The spiciness will make your mucous membranes tingle(;´Д｀)
