Red Bull 330ml bottle can has a new shape!
The 330ml Red Bull bottle can, which was introduced in Japan in 2014, underwent a shape redesign and was renewed starting in October 2019.
So far, there has been no official news from Red Bull Japan regarding this update.
The bottle can has been changed to a beautiful curved design
When compared to the previous four Red Bull bottle cans, you can clearly see that the slender neck has been removed, and the bottle now features a more rounded, curvy design that gives it an elegant look.
The old bottle cans had a narrow neck, much like those of Corona beer or other glass bottles.
The newly designed bottle has a natural curve that seems to guide the liquid smoothly to the mouth when drinking.
The grip part of the cap now has anti-slip grooves running vertically, making it easier to open. The shape of the cap has gradually changed over time, but this latest redesign makes it even more comfortable to grip.
Red Bull Bottle Cans in Japan and Around the World
As of November 2019, both the old and new bottle cans are still being sold side by side in stores.
The sense of unfamiliarity when seeing the new bottle can for the first time is quite amusing (*´艸`*)
It has been five years since the bottle cans were introduced in Japan, and the redesign came in 2019. Looking back, it's surprising to realize that the bottles have been continuously available in Japan for five years... Considering the price, I thought they might disappear soon, but here they are.
I wonder if similar redesigns are happening overseas too!? I always buy them when I travel, so I'm looking forward to discovering these new bottles in various places around the world.

In 2001, while living in the United States, I encountered energy drinks through the dance scene and was deeply impressed. After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 7,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries. I am also active as a critic and expert, receiving media interviews.
