How to neatly open a 6 pack of Red Bull

Posted on February 22, 2025|Last updated February 22, 2025

The Red Bull 6-can pack, which is assembled, can be opened without disassembling it. Even after removing the cans, it is possible to reassemble it!
In this guide, I will explain the best way to open the 6-can pack of the BC One edition.
First, prepare a chopstick and a cutter.

Cut the glued parts on the sides

First, insert a cutter into the side of the pack and cut through the glued areas. While you can peel it off with your hands, it might cause creases, so using a cutter is recommended.

Flip it over and remove the stopper

Flip the 6-can pack over. If it's in this shape, you can use the same method to open paper packs of beer and other drinks, not just Red Bull.

Insert the chopstick into the large hole, and fold the crease at the bottom even further inside.

Once the bottom is folded in, slide the chopstick through the large hole at the top and return the top crease. Since the top crease won’t go back with the chopstick alone, press from below while pulling up with your fingers to return the crease as shown in the picture.

Do this for both of the large creases. Once you've folded them all the way back, you're good to go.

Next, do the same for the small holes on the outside. Start by inserting the chopstick to firmly fold the crease at the bottom inside.

Insert the chopstick again to return the top crease. Once both are returned, you're finished.

Pull the bottom part, and the pack will open smoothly. The key is to fold the top creases properly back to the top. These creases act as a stopper, preventing the pack from opening, so if you don't fold them back, the bottom part will get stuck and prevent you from opening it.

It's possible to reassemble the pack

By returning the folded parts you added to the top to their original position, the pack can be reassembled and the cans will stay securely in place without coming loose. After placing all six cans back inside, the pack holds together tightly without collapsing.

Since the glued parts are peeled off, the strength isn’t quite the same as before opening, but it still holds up quite well, so if you just want to store empty cans after drinking, there’s absolutely no problem (*´ェ`*)

In 2001, while living in the United States, I encountered energy drinks through the dance scene and was deeply impressed. After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 7,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries. I am also active as a critic and expert, receiving media interviews.
