The product name changed from the original Silver Edition to Lime Edition, and it was continuously sold as the RED BULL LIME EDITION released in 2015.

The can color was also revamped, but the contents remained the same as the Silver Edition. This review will mainly focus on the Lime Edition from Canada.

Flavor of RED BULL LIME EDITION

Upon opening, there is a familiar ginger-like scent, much like the Silver Edition. The color is a slightly dull hue, resembling lime juice squeezed from fresh fruit.

When I tried it, the lime’s sourness and bitterness, along with a hint of ginger-like flavor, spread across my taste buds. While there is quite a bit of sugar, the sweetness is hardly noticeable, and the drink has more of a lime sourness to enjoy.

The ginger aroma is noticeable while drinking and lingers with the bitterness after swallowing. The ginger note is a bit subtle.

Putting the ginger-like aroma aside, the bitter flavor adds depth to the lime. It doesn't end with just the sourness of lime; the savory taste enhances the lime flavor, creating a nice balance and making it quite tasty.

By the way, in Austria and other European countries, the Lime Edition lacks the ginger flavor typical of North America and has a flavor profile closer to real lime with its acidity and refreshing fruitiness.

A pleasant sweet-and-sour lime fruit flavor lingers, giving it a satisfying and fulfilling taste. While there isn't any bitter richness, personally, I prefer the European-style fruity Lime Edition over this one.

Energy Ingredients of RED BULL LIME EDITION

RED BULL LIME EDITION
Contains 80mg of caffeine and 1000mg of taurine. It is free from fruit juice. There are no particularly distinctive ingredients, just a standard formula.

Design of RED BULL LIME EDITION

The design is simple, with a calm green color and the words "LIME EDITION" written prominently. It stood out on store shelves. The lime green is sophisticated and has a premium feel, typical of Red Bull’s color scheme.

Released in 2015, when the Red Bull Edition series wasn't as expansive, the design features an overall elegant and high-end feel. As the brand's flavor variety expanded and store displays became more colorful, this particular color began to feel a bit more understated.

Still, I believe Red Bull should maintain its premium feel in its design, especially considering its price point compared to other brands (^_^;)

RED BULL LIME EDITION launched in Canada and gradually expanded across Europe. However, it was a unique product that was never released in the United States. Perhaps the lime flavor from the original Silver Edition just wasn’t that popular?!
