This is a review of the 250ml slim can version of Red Bull PLUS Malaysia, which was released for the Asian market.
Since it is a different product from the similarly named one sold in Singapore, I am reviewing them separately.

Flavor of Red Bull PLUS Malaysia
Upon opening the can, a sweet and tangy aroma reminiscent of classic fruity flavors escapes. The official description calls it "Tropical Citrus," but it doesn't quite smell like the typical fruit scent... Let's give it a taste.
Upon taking a sip, the flavor is reminiscent of sweet fruit mix candy, like children's liquid medicine. There's no acidity, and the fruity sensation is lacking—it's overwhelmingly sweet.
The sweetness is reminiscent of Southeast Asian candy melted into liquid form, and there's a noticeable chemical undertone that lingers in the nose.
A key feature of this Red Bull PLUS is that it is sugar-free. As a result, the sweetness is lighter compared to full-sugar drinks, but... it's a strong sweetness that surpasses the limits of being sugar-free, making it clear that it is indeed sugar-free. However, it's not a drink that you’d want to gulp down, which is a bit of a downside.
Additionally, the lingering medicinal taste in the aftertaste, combined with the intense sweetness, made it feel difficult to drink.
For those who enjoy the sweet, chemical-like flavors typical of energy drinks that clearly seem bad for you, this one will be a perfect fit.
Energy Ingredients of Red Bull PLUS Malaysia
The drink contains 50mg of caffeine from guarana, 1000mg of taurine, 400mg of glucuronolactone, 50mg of inositol, 50mg of lysine, and 50mg of choline.
While there is no added sugar, it does contain sweeteners that contribute to the 16g of carbohydrates and 70kcal of calories. This amount is somewhat surprising. It seems that choosing Red Bull PLUS might not be particularly meaningful.
Design of Red Bull PLUS Malaysia
The can has a matte texture with a wood-like wave pattern, giving it a Western energy drink vibe, unlike the typical Asian Red Bull. The 250ml slim can definitely exudes a different aesthetic.
The labeling on this side of the can is in Malay.
On the other side, it's written in English, making it easier for foreigners to understand. The fact that it has a Western energy drink look but is non-carbonated was a bit of a surprise.
Since non-carbonated is the standard for Asian Red Bulls, there’s no specific mention of it, whereas carbonated versions are often clearly labeled or designed to make it obvious.
