The "Red Bull Red Italian Edition," released exclusively in Italy in April 2013. Unlike the Red Edition, this is the Italian Edition, and it differs from the regular cranberry-flavored Red Edition in both flavor and contents.

In this review, I not only cover the Italian Edition but also compare it to the F1 Edition and BULL, which I felt had similar flavors. It’s a very luxurious and rare combination!

Bittersweet and Stimulating Bitter Orange Flavor

The scent of bitter citrus fruits like orange and grapefruit fills the air. The liquid has a reddish-brown hue, and the fragrance strongly resembles the Red Bull F1 Edition and BULL, with a very similar vibe.

When you take a sip, the distinctive bitterness of orange combined with a tonic water-like strong bitterness stands out. It has a unique, bitter fruit taste with a strong flavor reminiscent of quinine. Personally, I really enjoy this taste (๑´ڡ`๑).

Unlike a typical orange or fruit flavor, the Italian Edition's defining characteristic is its intense bitterness. People who dislike the bitterness of tonic water may not be able to enjoy this drink. However, for those who can appreciate this bitterness as a refreshing and savory quality, this is the perfect choice.

The flavor and aroma are quite similar to the F1 Edition and BULL, so I decided to compare them with the F1 Edition and BULL I had in stock!

The Italian Edition appears slightly darker, but the colors are almost identical.

Upon comparison, all three have a bitter fruit flavor, but the Italian Edition stands out with its more subdued fruitiness. On the other hand, both Bull and F1 Edition feature a more pronounced and refreshing citrusy bitterness. Incidentally, F1 Edition and BULL contain the same formula.

Although the Italian Edition is definitely delicious, when compared side by side, it starts to feel flat, lacking the flavor complexity. The Bull and F1 Edition, with their recreated fruit pulp essence, provide a fresher taste and allow you to enjoy more complex flavor changes.

When drinking the Italian Edition on its own, I initially thought it tasted similar to the Bull and F1 Edition, but after comparing them, the differences became clear.

It seems that the product was released with the image of "Italian Red" in mind. If you're familiar with the regular Red Edition, you might feel that it lacks a little flair.

Later, the Italian Edition was rebranded as the regular Red Edition. Since the color and design remained the same, unless you are particularly interested in Red Bull, most people probably wouldn't have noticed the difference.
