Released in the U.S. in 2013 alongside two other flavors, Red Bull Silver Edition was part of the original Edition series. Unfortunately, it was the first to be discontinued.

Flavor of Red Bull Silver Edition

The aroma is mild and has a smooth lime scent. When poured, it has a clear appearance, resembling a sports drink, with lively, fizzing carbonation.

As indicated on the can, the taste is pure lime. It has a sharp lime acidity, similar to a sports drink with added citric acid.

One thing I immediately noticed upon taking a sip was—does this contain ginger? No matter how many times I drank it, I kept sensing a spicy, sharp taste alongside the lime acidity. I double-checked the ingredients list out of concern, but there was no mention of ginger or any spices.

Curious, I looked into it and found that many others also described it as having a ginger ale-like sharpness. Either they secretly added something unexpected, or the lime acidity itself creates this impression.

Fans of SamuraiD and Raizin might enjoy this, but for the majority of people… well, that’s another story.
