Upon opening, a sweet and sour scent reminiscent of kiwi is released, followed by a smooth, sweet melon-like fragrance.

When I take a sip, a tangy passion fruit flavor spreads in my mouth, followed by a refreshing, rich apple flesh taste in the aftertaste. The sweet and sour aroma blends well with the mellow, sweet fragrance, and I can really enjoy the passion fruit and the sweet, floral apple flavor.

What stands out as I drink it is the unique sweet scent, which I believe is inspired by the elderflower. However, it feels more like the rich apple flesh flavor typically found in Japan.

The combination of tangy passion fruit flavor and the rich, refreshing apple creates a unique tropical fruit flavor with a fresh aftertaste, which I find to be highly rated.

I first learned about the flavor name "Curuba" during this review. Upon researching, I found that it’s a South American fruit similar to passion fruit, with a strong sourness. The yellow variety is sometimes called "banana passionfruit" due to its resemblance to a banana.

I see now that the strong sourness and passion fruit-like fruitiness I noticed earlier comes from the characteristic taste of "Curuba."

The other flavor, "Elderflower," is commonly found in European energy drinks, and it’s one of my personal favorites. I was excited to see it used for the first time in a Red Bull product, so I was curious how it would taste.

Generally, elderflower flavors are recreated as floral and delicate, but in this case, the sweet and sour taste of "Curuba" takes the lead, and the elderflower essence is more subtle.

That said, it’s precisely because of the elderflower influence that this unique, refreshing, and rich aroma is achieved, setting it apart from other tropical fruit flavors. This release feels like the perfect summer flavor, and I hope it becomes a regular offering.

It seems that adding silhouettes of elderflower and Curuba to the can itself could make a big difference in its overall look.
