When I take a sip, a strong, awakening acidity fills my mouth, followed by the sweet and sour umami of lime fruit. The acidity I feel in the first sip is strong every time I drink it.

The lingering acidity and the high-fidelity lime fruit scent that fades away are in a league of their own, setting it apart from other non-fruit lime flavors.

Since this is a summer-limited Summer Edition revival, I highly recommend drinking it with plenty of ice.

In a good way, the umami and any off-flavors fade, and the refreshing lime sensation intensifies, making it easier to drink in large gulps. Additionally, the real lime fruit flavor that pleasantly lingers after drinking is just as enjoyable whether cold or with ice, making me wonder if it was intentionally made to be enjoyed with ice. Pouring it into a glass full of ice creates a refreshing, rich lime flavor.

The aftertaste aroma is exceptional, and once again, I am reminded why the Edition series is so great.

Looking Forward to a New Flavor for the Next Season Edition

While other energy drinks launched new summer flavors at the same time, Red Bull is re-releasing a past flavor. Honestly, I would have liked to try a new summer flavor.

If developing a new flavor incurs significant costs, I don’t mind having the same product as those in Europe and the US, especially since it lets people in Japan enjoy flavors that might not be familiar here. So, personally, I think it's a good thing.

For now, I hope the next season’s edition brings a new flavor to experience.
