The 2018 Summer Edition Coconut Berry Flavor became a regular product, now known as Red Bull WHITE EDITION. In this review, I’ll be checking out the White Edition I brought back from Austria.

After the 2018 Summer Edition was discontinued, the regular product was given names like "White Edition" or "Coconut Edition" depending on the country, but the contents are the same—a mix of coconut and berry flavors.

Flavor of Red Bull WHITE EDITION: Sweet and Sour Coconut Berry

When opened, the mellow sweet scent of coconut fills the air. Those who aren't fond of coconut may feel repelled as soon as they open the can.

The drink itself is a bright light blue. It’s the kind of color you’d expect from an energy drink, right? The slight cloudiness might be trying to capture the essence of coconut.

Let’s take a sip.

The coconut doesn’t bring much of a distinctive sweetness; its scent is more prominent. The main flavor is a refreshing mix of sweet and sour fruits like apple, berry, and plum, which I personally find quite delicious. Did coconut really need to be in here...? (；´∀｀)

The refreshing fruit mix flavor is tasty enough on its own, so those who dislike the scent of coconut might find this drink disappointing. It’s likely that some people would enjoy it if the coconut aroma wasn’t there.

Originally released as the 2018 Summer Edition, I thought, “There’s no way this will become a regular product,” but to my surprise, it became a staple worldwide. Even though it’s now a permanent offering, I think it’s a taste that’s still divisive, so if you get the chance, give it a try. It’s sold in many countries around the world.

Energy Ingredients of Red Bull WHITE EDITION

It contains 80mg of caffeine and 1000mg of taurine, which are the standard ingredients for a 250ml can of Red Bull. By the way, there are no fruits or coconut ingredients—it's completely fruit juice-free.

The all-white can with the silver bull is simple and elegant. There’s no other edition quite like it.

White and silver generally give the impression of a sugar-free product, but what do you think? Those familiar with energy drinks, like our friend Drin-Kun, would know that White Edition is not sugar-free from the get-go.

By the way, sugar-free editions are marked with the sugar-free label and a diagonal silver stripe.

Red Bull COCONUT EDITION SUGARFREE

Aside from the White Edition, there’s also a Coconut Edition available. The product name differs depending on the country, but the contents are the same. While there’s no need to do a side-by-side comparison, I did try comparing the White Edition and Coconut Edition, so feel free to check it out.

Both have the same coconut-scented fruit mix flavor. Even after drinking a total of 500ml (two cans), the coconut aroma never grew on me, and I didn’t find it any more enjoyable. However, if you love coconut water or the taste of coconut itself, this might be a drink you'll really enjoy.
