When opening the can, a sweet aroma of apple and banana wraps around you. Upon double-checking the product name, I can indeed detect a slightly pear-like fragrance. I believe the cinnamon flavor added has made the scent a bit more subtle and less distinct.

As soon as it hits the mouth, a fresh and crisp pear flavor gently emerges, followed by a more pronounced apple-like taste, creating a lively and bright flavor experience.

The cinnamon flavor is barely noticeable, and at room temperature, it leans closer to apple, while chilled, the pear flavor becomes more prominent. When served with ice, the apple taste completely fades, leaving behind the refreshing pear flavor.

The flavor is enjoyable even at room temperature, a trait shared by all past Red Bull WINTER EDITION series. Personally, I love this winter-only series that can be enjoyed at different temperatures.

I would be happy if this became a regular offering... but somehow, it seems like the Summer Edition always becomes the staple instead...

While the Red Bull WINTER EDITION 2023 Pear Cinnamon was released in many countries in time for winter 2023, in the Southern Hemisphere, such as Australia and New Zealand, it was released six months later in June 2024 due to the opposite season.

The fresh, sweet, and refreshing aroma of apple and pear is really nice. Thanks to the seasonal shift, I was able to purchase it during my trip to New Zealand in September 2024.

However, it’s a bit concerning that the color is similar to the existing Red Bull PEACH EDITION and even overlaps with past WINTER EDITION cans. The can color choices used by Red Bull seem to have reached saturation, and it’s inevitable that they’ll resemble previous designs.

Looking at the various promotions for Red Bull Edition series, this simple and beautiful design seems to be too perfected, and I don’t expect many new designs to surpass it.

In the U.S., many new energy drinks with various designs are released every month, and if Red Bull continues to only change the can color, consumers may begin to feel a sense of monotony in the design.
