Red Bull Toro Rosso Honda design can

Posted on February 22, 2025|Last updated February 22, 2025

Toro Rosso Honda Design Can
Red Bull Japan released the Toro Rosso Honda Design Can at Suzuka Circuit during the F1 Japan GP. Since it was a rare venue-exclusive release in Japan, many people likely ended up buying resold cans to add to their collection.

Resold Cans Appeared Before Red Bull’s Official Announcement

Even before Red Bull made an announcement via social media or a press release, resold Red Bull Toro Rosso Honda Design Cans had already started appearing on Mercari.

They were listed as "exclusively sold at Honda" and were circulating on social media with photos posted by Honda affiliates. Some of these posts were quickly deleted after being retweeted, creating confusion before Red Bull’s official statement.

It is certain that Honda affiliates had easy access to the Red Bull Toro Rosso Honda Design Cans.

Venue-Exclusive Sale at Suzuka Circuit During the F1 Japan GP

Later, Red Bull officially announced that the Toro Rosso Honda Design Cans would be available as a **venue-exclusive** release at Suzuka Circuit during the F1 Japan GP.

For some reason, single cans were not sold individually at the venue. Instead, they were only available in six-can packs for 1,800 yen. The six-pack packaging featured the same design as the cans themselves.

Resold Cans Flood the Market

At first, it seemed like getting a can would be difficult... but fortunately, in Japan, many people buy items just for resale. As a result, plenty of Red Bull Toro Rosso Honda Design Cans became available on the secondary market. Those who wanted to add one to their collection likely had no trouble getting one.

Initially, resellers were listing them as Honda-exclusive at inflated prices, but as more cans became available, the prices dropped. Considering the cost and time required to travel to the venue, the resale price actually became quite reasonable. So, can we really call this a **rare can**...? (^_^;)

In 2001, while living in the United States, I encountered energy drinks through the dance scene and was deeply impressed. After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 7,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries. I am also active as a critic and expert, receiving media interviews.
