Introducing REIGN INFERNO RED DRAGON, the new fat-burning series from the fitness-focused energy drink brand REIGN, which contains caffeine. Three new flavors were added to the REIGN series simultaneously in 2020.

Until now, the REIGN series was honestly just a high-caffeine carbonated beverage with no distinct features in terms of ingredients. However, the new REIGN INFERNO series includes fat-burning ingredients, which adds an interesting concept to the product.

Flavor of Dragon Fruit & Fruit Punch Mix

Unlike the colorless REIGN series, this has a slightly yellowish hue. The scent is a gentle strawberry-like fragrance.

Upon sipping, the soft sweetness of fruit punch spreads across the tongue, followed by a subtle aftertaste that reminds you of dragon fruit, a flavor that doesn’t really stand out. It's definitely not a natural taste, but more of an artificial, punchy sweetness, so don’t expect a strong fruity flavor.

The sweetness is moderate and smooth, not an overpowering taste, and it doesn't leave a heavy aftertaste. As an energy drink, it might feel a bit lacking.

However, I personally like this flavor, and even though it comes in a large 473ml can, I find myself finishing it without realizing. There is no unpleasant aftertaste from artificial sweeteners. The drink is understated and well-balanced, which might be the key to its drinkability.

REIGN INFERNO RED DRAGON costs around $2, but the flavor itself is reminiscent of a $1 low-cost punch or a typical strawberry juice flavor. American consumers who prefer sugary juices might not rate this as being worth more than $2, taking that into account.

Energy Ingredients of REIGN INFERNO RED DRAGON

REIGN INFERNO RED DRAGON contains 300mg of caffeine, BCAAs, and CoQ10, just like the regular REIGN series. Additionally, it features ingredients unique to the INFERNO series: Citrulline, Ginseng, L-Carnitine, Green Tea Extract, and Capsicum (chili pepper).

Citrulline is an amino acid used in nitric oxide (NO) supplements for pump effects and promoting growth hormone secretion. It increases arginine levels in the body. This may be familiar to fans of Japanese energy drinks, which often contain arginine.

L-Carnitine, Green Tea, and Capsicum are all effective for fat burning, and these ingredients are commonly recommended during weight loss. The exact amounts of these ingredients are likely small, but the overall composition aligns well with the fat-burning energy drink concept, resulting in a high level of product completion.

In fact, it's possible that the REIGN INFERNO series could even become more popular than the standard REIGN series.
