In 2001, while living in the United States, I encountered energy drinks through the dance scene and was deeply impressed. After returning to Japan, I found that energy drinks were considered novelty beverages, so I established a comprehensive website in 2013 to share the true appeal of energy drinks. As an energy drink enthusiast, I began drinking them seriously again, collecting over 7,000 varieties of energy drinks from various countries. I am also active as a critic and expert, receiving media interviews.

Flavor of REIGN INFERNO WATERMELON WARLORD

The scent is more of a sweet strawberry than watermelon. There's no hint of the typical melon smell. This doesn't seem like it's going to taste like watermelon... Let's give it a try.
Flavor of REIGN INFERNO WATERMELON WARLORD

My honest first impression is that it tastes like sweet strawberry candy. It's a bit of a stretch to call this watermelon flavor.

Rather than watermelon, I'd say it tastes more like a strawberry and kiwi flavor, which makes more sense. There's a slight tang to the sweetness, and the taste itself is soft and easy to drink.

If I were told this was a “natural beverage with added sweeteners to highlight smooth sweetness and carbonation for a refreshing sensation,” I’d totally believe it. It’s a gentle strawberry kiwi flavor, which is quite different from the bold impression suggested by the strong packaging design and the product name "WATERMELON WARLORD."

Watermelon flavors tend to either taste distinctly like watermelon or end up completely different, and in this case, the watermelon vibe was overshadowed by the strawberry-kiwi notes.

It contains 300mg of caffeine, citrulline, ginseng, carnitine, green tea extract, chili pepper, BCAAs, and CoQ10. While the exact amounts of each ingredient are unclear, it's evident that it contains all the key components for promoting fat-burning, making it a solid pre-workout supplement.

Unlike the usual black cans of the REIGN series, the Inferno series is characterized by its white cans.

The Inferno series used to have gray cans, but now all four flavors have been redesigned with white cans. The original all-pink "WATERMELON WARLORD" has been updated with pink and lime green. However, with these color choices, it doesn’t exactly match the watermelon flavor or the product name.

The textured feel of the can's surface and the steel-like color of the mask are distinctive to the Inferno series, giving it a heavy and appealing look.

On the other hand, the regular REIGN cans have a color print on the mask, without the textured finish, so compared to the Inferno cans, they do feel a bit cheaper.

Looking from the top, the combination of the white can and various colors looks quite neat, giving off a sense of style. The colorful top and tab really stand out, making it a perfect fit for an energy drink.
