Flavor of ROCKSTAR BEACH BLEND

A bright and clear pink with a sweet cherry scent and a punchy aroma. Before opening it, I imagined a tropical fruit mix flavor from the name "Beach Blend," so I was a little surprised.

The taste is just like the cherry scent, a sweet cherry candy-like flavor with no sourness, no aftertaste, and not too rich, making it easy to drink ((o(´∀｀)o)).

There’s no fruitiness, and it’s just sweet cherry juice, so it doesn’t have anything particularly special, but the sweetness and scent don’t linger, giving a nice balance that anyone can enjoy without any weird aftertaste. It’s nice that it doesn’t add unnecessary artificial chemical flavors. You can enjoy it as cherry juice.

On the other hand, it’s not a flavor you can only experience with Beach Blend. It’s an ordinary cherry flavor, so I think it might have been nice to try something more adventurous.

By the way, when you drink it ice-cold, the sweet candy-like flavor stands out, but when it’s at room temperature, the sourness comes through more, enhancing the cherry flavor. I prefer it at room temperature (●´ω｀●).

Energy Ingredients of ROCKSTAR BEACH BLEND

Caffeine 160mg, Taurine 2000mg, L-Carnitine, Guarana, Ginseng, and more.

When drinking it, I thought the balance between sweetness and freshness was good, and the sugar content was lower than typical energy drinks. The cherry flavor is well-balanced with sugar and artificial sweeteners, which might be why it’s so easy to drink. If it were any sweeter, it might just taste too intense and the preferences would be more divided.

Design of ROCKSTAR BEACH BLEND

The bright red base color with a silhouette of a palm tree. I believe this design was used because it was released as a limited flavor in conjunction with the Baywatch movie campaign.

Since Beach Blend was released when Rockstar was becoming a big star, the side logo has this type of “ROCKSTAR ○○ ENERGY” style. Even if it’s not part of a series, it looks like it could be.

The Amazing Baywatch Campaign

Three Baywatch collaboration cans were released in the UK. Baywatch is an American movie set in Florida.

Although it wasn’t released in theaters in Japan, a similar campaign was held in Australia, just like in the UK. Australia had five types of Baywatch cans, and I was able to find them all locally!

By the way, I happened to watch the movie during a flight when I went overseas.

It had some comedy, a genre I would usually skip, but since I knew Rockstar had collaborated with it, I decided to give it a try. It turned out to be fairly entertaining (*´艸｀*)

The highlight of the Baywatch campaign was the grand prize, which included a flight ticket and hotel stay to Miami, as well as an invitation to a party for the winner and three guests. It was an incredibly luxurious prize (●´ω｀●). Energy drink brands often have campaigns with overseas travel packages and special touristic prizes.

Since I’m a foreigner, I couldn’t apply, but it’s really fun to search for all the collaboration cans when traveling. The UK’s collaboration flavors were especially great because they had a flavor that was widely loved by everyone, and it was really good.
