This is a review of Rockstar Coconut Water. It was released in two sizes: a 250ml mini can and a 473ml can, available in the United States and Canada. However, the product had a short shelf life and was discontinued quickly.

Flavor of ROCKSTAR COCONUT WATER

When opening the coconut water, a surprisingly sweet and oily coconut milk aroma strongly fills the air. If you’ve ever cracked open a coconut and drank from it, you’ll recognize this scent. It’s quite polarizing, and Rockstar Coconut Water has a very similar fragrance, which in a good way, shows a high level of coconut aroma reproduction. (；´∀｀)

When poured, it’s a slightly yellowish, cloudy transparent coconut water. Once in the glass, the oily and rich scent stands out more than the sweet fragrance. Drinking it takes a bit of courage (^_^;)

The Flavor Mimics Coconut, But It’s Not Delicious

Drinking lukewarm, fresh coconut water from the tropics, many people tend to think, "It’s not that amazing or delicious." And Rockstar Coconut Water is very much like that.

The mouthfeel isn’t thick at all and you can drink it like water. The flavor itself is quite subtle, and the coconut taste on the tongue isn’t very strong. It’s almost to the point where the coconut flavor is hardly noticeable. Most coconut water drinks feel this way — light and refreshing.

The Coconut Water Aroma is Overpowering

And above all, the aroma is the most intense. The fragrance is so strong that it almost makes you imagine a rich coconut flavor. But when you drink it, the flavor isn’t that strong, creating a strange sensation…

The coconut aroma and faint sweetness quickly spread, leaving only the fragrance in your mouth, which then travels up to your nose. The oily smell of coconut milk is also strong, and it might be hard to get used to.

Energy Ingredients of ROCKSTAR COCONUT WATER

It says "High Caffeine," but the caffeine content is 160mg, which isn’t that much compared to other Rockstar products.

Other ingredients include 2000mg of taurine, 100mg of ginseng, and 40mg of milk thistle, all part of the energy blend. It’s interesting to see the energy blend listed with specific amounts since it’s an older product!

The coconut juice content is 10%, but it’s impressive how well the flavor and aroma are represented with just this 10%. Although, it could possibly be done without any coconut juice at all, but it still gives you the feeling of drinking coconut water, which is quite surprising (whether it’s delicious or not is another matter).

What’s curious about the coconut water is the 473ml size. Carbonated drinks in this category have been reduced, but this coconut water is available in a full-size can. Other Rockstar drinks also state “shake” on the label but have standard sizes. I wonder what the difference is. (´・ω・｀)

Can Design of ROCKSTAR COCONUT WATER

Personally, I really like the vibrant colors and the cool design with black accents. Plus, considering it was never part of a series and the fact it was discontinued, it has a rare value, making it one of my favorite cans.

I particularly like the bright light blue with the black accents. The Rockstar logo, printed in a slightly faded manner, is simple and stylish, making it visually appealing.
